    I like Brooks but he is a luxury right now. Rockets still lack a wing stopper and a competent back up for Asik.

    Smith has regressed badly and does not want to defend and rebound anymore. Never much of a shot blocker either.

    I bet it's....

    2.5 million this year, team option for 1.35 million next year.

    Just don't ask AB to drive, ok, on those endgame plays? oh yes, we have Harden for that

    Aaron should wear 30 in honor of Kenny Smith.

    I though yesterday was the deadline for signing free agents for the playoff roster. Why don't we know the details about his contract yet?

    If it happened, it might have happened at 11:59 p.m.?

    But was it actually the deadline to sign someone on or was it the deadline by which someone has to be released so he can later sign on somewhere else and still be on their playoff roster?

    The latter. Brooks will be playoff eligible.

    We don't know the contract details yet, because Brooks still has to clear waivers. Can't sign him to a contract yet.

    Here's to hoping that Morey locks him up super cheap with a team option next year, he somehow gets on the court in the remaining part of the season, blows up in the playoffs and outperforms the contract...boom Morey's got another desirable trade asset for this offseason! :)

    I didn't know we needed someone to dribble out the clock at the top, wave off Harden and others and then jack up 3. Rockets fans just love new toys.

    Start Brooks with Harden, Lin off bench

    1. Brooks is a better 3pt shooter than Lin;
    2. Harden now can dominate ball while Brooks stalking at the 3pt line to keep defense honest;
    3. Lin now can have ball in his hand when he comes off bench and provide much needed offense off bench, it adds depth to our offense system.

    killing 3 birds with 1 brooks

    So according to Woj he's already reached a personal agreement with the Rockets correct?

    Actually trying on defense? Brooks, as a vet, gets outplayed by Jimmer and Thomas on a horrible team. They let him go after acquiring Toney Douglas for a reason. He just isn't that good.
