Your ability to misunderstand is impressive. What I said was that Lin's usage is in line with the greatest PG's of all time, he's not being mistreated. I also said that no PG on the team with a superstar player is going to have a really high usage rate. How are either of these two things hard to understand?

Wow, your ability to ignore stats that disprove your point is impressive. Explain the other 39 Pgs with higher usage rate than Lin. All of them are superstars or have no other superstars on their team??

LOL, fine whatever, McHale hates Lin, Harden hates Lin, it's a conspiracy against Lin. Whatever dumb BS you want to believe. You won't listen to reason so believe whatever you want, you're going to anyway.

Knowing all that, why do you continue to argue with him o_O?

HAHA epic rage and cry baby. Oh btw Felton and Nate Robinson has HIGHER usage rate than your HOFer examples. Funny how you could ignore these facts before you went about bastardizing stats to prove your point. After this, you should really stop posting here to try to explain and hypothesize what McHale really meant by his quote.

It always happens when I'm talking to someone else, he chimes in with something really stupid and I feel compelled to respond. I'm getting better about ignoring him though. At some point even his impressive trolling ability will have no effect.

That's why this fake out rage thread is pretty much dead. Members already know better than to argue with certain posters. It's just pretty much the same posters agreeing with each other to keep it alive now.

Nope he doesn't, imo he just doesn't think Lin is a good enough starting PG for his team, hence his comment. Again, all these LOFHs exagerate with the word hate to make their point

This depends on if you are a LOF or LOH or a normal Rocket fan

    pick your choice:grin:

But McHale does not see Jeremy as the guy who should call the shots, if this hate? dont know dont care. In the end it all rest on Jeremy shoulder, to play like the coach wants or make the game , take the win.

You guys are not very self aware are you. It's you usual suspects who agree with each other regardless of the points being made. First time I agreed with l4z4rd and actually read his post. Whereas you, bobby, cryto, rockets etc going around agreeing with each other regardless of the points, facts and data. And if you guys don't have any good counter point, you resort to calling people names. Dude give it up.

I am making stupid argument because we pointed out the fallacy of your cherry picked data? Dude you can't go around saying Lin does not have low usage rate when there are currently 39 other PGs with higher usage numbers. Comparing career usage rate to Lins is ridiculous as it is not an apple to apple comparison, there are so many variables that could skew the comparison.

More turnovers equals a higher usage rate! You don't even know what you're talking about. It's not a stat where high usage=good and low usage equals bad.

Furthermore, team pace goes in the denominator of the usage equation, meaning that fast pace tends to pull the usage rate down, not push it up.

Some of you guys don't even know what usage is. You think it means "how much the coach uses the player." This thread is fueled on emotion, not knowledge.

That'll do guys, this post successfully helped us get through the 3 day Rocket game drought but that's behind us now and it really has run its course, it's just bickering back and forth now.

I am backseat modding, and ~officially~ locking my own thread.

Omg we got you the first time, no one is saying high usage rate is a good things, there is efficiency stat for that, everyone knows it just means how mmqny plays a player is involved and hence tos equals higher usage rate duh. Still don't get the point of your post

and yes team pace reduces usage rate but league pace increases it. So yes the league has changed and is bumping up the overall Usage rate for PGs which again, can't be compared with career usage rate of past PGs, HOFer or not.

If ppl don't believe McHale does not like Lin then listen to the Rockets vs Warriors on Feb/05/2013 post game interview; that is another good example.

Lin had an awesome game with 28 points on 10-16 shooting (%62.5), 2 TO and 9 Ast and McHale did not say one good thing about him again, not even when asked by someone, lol. Someone asked "what did you LIKE how Jeremy attacked Curry tonight?" Mchale then completely ignored the question and started talking about how the team did - 1st thing he said was "the biggest thing for us was we had 9 TOs", lol. Is that not obvious ppl?

No matter McHale like Lin or not. He'll be fired soon as he's not qualified for a team looking for championship.

Just let Lin's God manage the relationship between them.
