No disrespect to jlin, but imagine rubio running point for this team in our offense.

Less turnovers and fewer points. McHale would love it:cool:

As I tweeted last night: Would have loved to see somebody tell McHale that after the MIL game.

    Ricky Rubio's TO%: 24.8
    Lin's TO%: 19.4

    Ricky Rubio's TS%: .462
    Lin's TO%: .524

    Rubio's F*in TERRIBLE.

Wouldn't work with Harden who needs the ball. Rubio makes Lin look like Steph Curry as a shooter. He is even worse than Lin off the ball due to his poor shooting.

He is coming off ACL surgery. Sure he is not a terribly efficient scorer to begin with but he can definitely get better over time. He is an elite defender at the PG position and one of the best playmakers in the league. Rondo has had seasons almost as inefficient and he was not coming off an ACL injury....

I also think Rondo is terribly overrated but he's still miles ahead of Rubio.

    Rubio before ACL:

    .476 TS%, 24.8 TO%

"Not a terribly efficient scorer" is the understatement of the century. He's GOD-AWFUL.

    Lin > Rubio ..

Lin: defense, can score the ball (if he attacks), assists the ball, brotherhood w/ parsons and TOs, not too great of a handle.
Rubio: nice passes, handles, bad team.

to be fair, he was well above 50% TS for most of last year. then he went through a dreadful stretch of ~40% TS and killed his numbers. And then he tore his ACL. That's why he's so controversial. It's hard to know which Rubio we are talking about now at this point.

Either way, his defense and vision are elite -- or were prior to the injury when it comes to defense...

He seemed a bit aggressively happy in that clip. Already showing signs of getting an inflated ego. Pass. Do not need a chemistry killer.

Rubio is terrible. Perfect example of style over substance. He's like a poor man's White Chocolate.
