Legit 6'10? Lmao he measure 6'7'' at the combine. 35 inch vertical so he's athletic but not "super". If you're expecting Blake/Dwight athleticism and explosiveness, then you're gonna be real disappointed.

THis will help with spacing. Does anybody know if he is good about moving off the ball? Can he cut etc.? Cause we need body movement.

Except Robinson will actually play, those guys above weren't even close to the prospect Robinson was, a lot of experts had him as the second best player in the draft.

He was right under 6'9" but very long so he's pretty much a 6'10" guy.

Also he is super athletic, people need to understand athleticism isn't just about vertical. He's VERY mobile and has quick feet. He's actually one of the more athletic 4's in the league.

Those experts were wrong. But if he can just provide hustle, be a net positive defender and grab boards while sinking open jumpers than he'll be a great addition. I'm concerned about the fact that he apparently had difficulty getting acclimated to the NBA despite that being one of his major upsides and, well, he can't hit an open jumper which will make it much more difficult for our guards.

Looking forward to seeing him play though, should be interesting. And lol at people in here thinking he's a piece for Josh Smith.

Yeah. He can run, he can move his feet, and no he's not an elite jumper but he is a good jumper.

Also, having a high motor makes your athleticism play up. Just look at Faried. He's only 6'7", and his max vert is only 35", but he seems super athletic because of how hard he works.

Dudes 6'9 in shoes and has 7'3 wingspan and weights 240 with prob 3% body fat. Dudes a freak of nature and is not undersized at all. He can fly look at the highlights from this yr dude can get up there. I have seen every one of his games Im college and he is always the bigger stronger faster more athletic player out of anyone on the court. Give it two weeks and everyone will be drooling over this kid he is going to blend perfectly with this team. He's a team first hard working guy. Mchale and CD will have a field day with him in the offseason he has the feet and touch to do great things in the post most can't. Plus he's faster and quicker than most pfs besides maybe Blake griffin. He's super coachble and wants to be the best.

In all honesty with this trade I could honestly see the rockets just finding role players to make out bench deep if Trob can get a mid range game like amare then our starting 5 is championship bound 2 years from now.

To me his potential is amare that can rebound like crazy and be an elite defender. His offense is already very similar to amare pre micro surgery in his rookie yr. remember this amare won rookie of the yr getting up and down the court and doing pick and roll with Nash all game. Now look at Houston we prob have the best backcourt in the NBA at pick n roll. Morey new what he was doing he found his pick n roll partner for these guys but can also do the 2 things Patterson couldn't. rebound and block shots. Plus we will see alot of espn highlights from him. To me we just found our future pf and I think he has 20ppg 14 reb with 2 blk potential. He's that much of a talent. Easily our 2nd most talented player after harden even if he's not even our 4th best player right now.

guy knows his stuff, he is very much so a younger Amare with a better work ethic, just needs a little work with his jumper. With the way we score we really don't need a lot of jumpers from him, just that true grit he has to help out Asik in the paint.

Yup well said. There was a reason he was drafted at 5, around 3-5 area landing spot.

That was based on NBA body, quickness and athleticism... less about skills
He has long ways to go in being fundamentally sound

He definitely has a lot of fundmentals, maybe not solide enough.
The main concern is his attitude, TRobb will succeed in Huston if he is coachable and does right thing on and off court.

He can block shots too, and what is more impressive is that he will chase his man down the floor to do it.

I watched every game this kid played in college. He came in extremely raw. His only plus skill was rebounding. He was an NBA rebounder as a Freshman. He sat behind the Morris twins early. I don't think many here are willing to accept how talented the Morris twins were, especially in Bill Self's hi/low offense that thrived with Marcus at the top of the key and allowed Markieff to hit trailing 3's. Anyway, Robinson was always athletic enough to play at this level. He played too wild and didn't have complete control of his emotions or body.

Then tragedy struck in the span of about a month. He lost everyone but his sister. If you ever see the term "F.O.E." that stands for Family Over Everything and that was a thing with Robinson and the Morris twins. #FOE.

After the season ended he just went crazy. The other term that he made famous was "No Days Off" and he actually meant that. Self had to tell him to take a day off because of how hard he was going at all the camps and in the gym. He dominated the camps and then dominated college basketball. He dominated Anthony Davis. He's not playing for himself like most players, he's playing for his younger sister because he's all she has left. #FOE.

He's going to rebound and provide dumpoff/put-back opportunities and he's going to out hustle everyone. He's the guy at the gym no one wants to guard because he runs all game...except he's also incredibly talented.

His jump shot will be his biggest determining factor to his career. He's shown the ability to hit it, but it's not consistent. He's great in PnR situations because that's what Self's offense uses a lot of, which is why, as another poster pointed out Cole Aldrich was better than anyone else on our roster at finishing PnR. He is going to bring energy, hustle, finishing, and rebounds. Lots of rebounds. He has some offensive moves but he's not KG. He's still raw and too aggressive at times but you can see the potential when he makes his moves. He does things that most other PF's in this league wouldn't even attempt. He's humble and tenacious all at once.

I'd put a career peak with him at about 17pts/12rbs per game over about 28-34 minutes.

He reminds me of a young Josh smith especially the way he runs the floor and how he initiates his own offense from the perimeter at times.

All I got to say is that if Robinson has the same alley-oop ability as Tyson Chandler, then it's over for other teams.

Honestly, he can't be like Tyson Chandler.
