No way. Sure he can beat Bobcat players 1 on 1. But no way his body can take a regular season.

Doesn't he sit around and smoke now? His lungs and cardio are probably terrible now.

As much as people want to believe that he could...no, he could not. His body would break down, he couldn't play a shred of defense, and he could create space because he'd just be too slow.

    Not buying it.

Sure he could play, as could any of us. Like us, he would suck.

He prob could play but his explosion wouldn't be enough to create easy shots. He'd have to work really hard with deceptive moves and even with that in sure he could only get mediocre defenders out of position to score. I think he couldn't preserve high level of play without an injury, he would prob tear a ligament, get a bone bruise or get a hamstring strain and would be out way too long.

When did he retire from the Wizards? 9-10 years ago?

No way he could play even a few minutes a game now.

From the latest pics I have seen of him, he looks like he ate Ed Curry and had Shawn Kemp for dessert.

I'm sure if he showed up at the gym with nba players he would be able to hang with them, but no way can his body withstand a whole grueling season.

He wouldn't even be able to do that. Unless you were only allowed to post up, I believe MJ still has a lethal fadeaway. :)

His biggest thing would be dealing with the grind of constant games/practices/the Road.

    MJ's 50? I feel old.

Yes, remember, Ryan Bowen got minutes in the NBA. At 50, Jordan would still be a better athlete and shooter than Bowen was.

He needs to take a year to get in shape but I believe he can.

No one is saying he'd have to play 40 mins a game. If he played limited minutes and skipped some practices, i don't see why not. Michael never really had serious chronic injuries. I would imagine his body isn't in that bad of shape now.

It's not like his hands have shrunk. He's got a ton of experience. Plus, his turnaround J would still be pretty damn effective, even with less lift.
