Man, only got to saw 4 minutes of the game. Looks like we lost it at the end of the 3rd quarter. Base on the reactions, Mchale had bad substitution again.

I have to agree with you. Lin needs to be more careful with not over committing on defense in games like this, and he needs to knock down FT in crunch time.

 

This is because Lin has been benched too long and we have multiple PGs on court.

 

I think the altitude had an effect on the coaching staff

 

Parson's needs to stop worrying about how pretty he is and should start worrying about how his defense has been horrible lately.

At the earlier of the game, there was a guy yelling Lin cannot play 35mins.

I've been real tough on Lin for his inconsistent play this year, but I'm starting to wonder if his inconsistency is made worse by McHale sporadic use of him game in game out. Lin was running and putting pressure on defense most of the night. If Lin hadn't sat so long, the Rox win this game. Momentum is HUGE in sports. Not to harp on it but it's games like this that expose bad coaching. At times, this team looks like they have no direction.

 

No other rockets guards takes any charges at all beside Lin, they try to avoid taking charges. soft on D.

I disagree with this. In our 45-point blowout of the Jazz, Harden only scored 18 points. The key in that game was we had 6 other people in double-figures for scoring. We will struggle if we predominantly play ISO ball, IMO. In the Jazz game they set tons of screens and had patience on offense and managed to work in Harden ISOs when we had the lead. I think ISOs have their place in the game with someone with Harden's ability, but it shouldn't dominate the offensive play calling. I had a sinking feeling that we would regress to that offense for this game.
