Naw, man, jump on the Beverley Thrillbilly wagon while there's still room!

Ryan Anderson has indeed looked good at times; but then there have been entire games (in a small sample) I could swear I didn't even notice he was on the court. Overall, he seems like a good fit-- a stretch four. Still hoping DMo and TJ will turn into more versatile versions of Ryan Anderson.

One thing that stuck out to me from a recent Morey interview is he really believes the 5 should be the only post player. That explains why we've always played DMo at the 5, when it seems his natural position is the 4.

If that's true, DeMarcus Cousins makes the most sense.

Trade: Omer Asik, Donatas Motiejunas, Marcus Morris, Royce White
    Receive: DeMarcus Cousins, Fransico Garcia

    Post trade lineup

PG: Lin / Beverly / Douglas
    SG: Harden / Delfino
    SF: Parsons / Garcia
    PF: Patterson / Jones
    C: Cousins / Smith

    Why the Rockets do it
You add a 2nd foundational piece. A guy that can develop into a force on both ends of the court. Also, Garcia's contract expires in 2014, so he become a $6 million trade chip at next years deadline.

    Why the Kings do it
You get rid of a headache, add a legit starting center in Asik that has and will maintain tremendous trade value, add a high upside/cheap PF in DMo, add a medium upside/cheap SF/PF in Morris, and get a chance at adding a unique talent in Royce White if he ever comes around.

Isn't Royce White a bigger headache than DeMarcus Cousins?

No. He's not even on the team.

Royce is just a throwin to build up the core package: Asik, Motiejunas, and Morris. He may or may not be appealing to them, but really, I don't think Royce poses near the same issues as Cousins does. With Royce, either he shows up or he doesnt.

But isn't Royce rambling off to the media about how he's a victim of the Rockets franchise or something?

I think the New Orleans trade could work, but the Rockets need a PF defender and Ryan Anderson is just another shooter. Rockets already have perimeter shooting at the forward spots.

That's interesting. Very interesting. So, with Asik manning the 5, does Morey just intend for the Rockets to not have a post game?? The Rockets did pretty well with Otis Thorpe next to Hakeem. I don't think your power forward has to be camped out at the 3 point line. In fact, I don't know if I like it at all...

I like it, but isnt Memphis looking to get below tax? This would have them taking on salary & I think TOR is more likely to move Lowry w/ Calderon ballin this year.
