Alex Smith's hands are tiny -- they're so small that scouts didn't think he could play in the NFL. That has nothing to do with anything, but I think Schaub is better than Smith.
is this what we have become? alex smith? if that is where your head is at, you should lobby for david carr instead, less wear and tear--wait, nevermind.
We really need a mobile QB...our offense with a mobile QB would be devastating...Look what RG3 has done in his first year...i really believe in the system...and its a solid system designed to wear out a defense with the run...but there has to a threat on a boot leg...
Is RG3 available? i'm not sure when alex smith became RG3....maybe i'm baised cause i live in the bay area so i know how terrible smith is though
I perfectly understand the Schaub hate but Alex Smith is Schaub with a little more mobility. Neither have great arm strength nor outside of their system have they been proven to be great playmakers. I'd go for Mike Vick or starting TJ Yates then Alex Smith.
I agree here. Schaub is better than Smith, but I think it is now clear that he just can't seem to step up when needed. Much of this I believe has to do with constant hand holding from Kubiak... like when we are down by 25 with 10 minutes to go and Kubiak is still calling plays in slowly. Let the damn QB give it a whirl by saving us some time in the process.
Smith doesn't solve anything, he's another version of Schaub acknowledge QB is a need, but sit tight with Schaub until something better comes along in the draft just like SF did with Smith
The pistol is legit. RGIII, Kaepernick and Wilson all had huge success with it this year. Cam Newton and the Panthers actually looked decent with it in their triple option formations earlier in the year. It's here to stay, but as RGIII has shown us... you need a stout QB for it to be worthwhile all season. Tebow anyone?
the guy had a different OC (6 or 7 total) every year prior to harbaugh coming on. i think his poor play was due to the team having to change offensive systems every year.
