I don't know... because it's a story about Houston's greatest, sadly departed, and most frustrating professional football franchise?
haywood jeffery, earnest giving, webster slaughter, and dru hill. Those were the deadly 4 men wide out i have ever witness. All of them with sure hands and speed too.
*Jeffires *Ernest Givins *Drew Too bad they never played all together. Hill's last year was '91. Slaughter's first year was '92. Don't forget about Curtis Duncan. 1990 Haywood Jeffires - 74 receptions, 1048 yards Drew Hill - 74 receptions, 1019 yards Ernest Givens - 72 receptions, 979 yards Curtis Duncan - 66 receptions, 785 yards 21 yards away from having three 1,000 yard receivers. And your 4th guy had nearly 800 yards. Really balanced passing attack. Offense was #2 in points and #1 in yards that season.
it boggles my mind why people are still so smittened by that franchise. they should be glad the oilers left town. but for whatever reason the fans who ridicule the Texans for being losers are the same ones that wish for the oilers of yesteryear, a team that epitomizes failure.
Wrong forum. It belongs in the NFL forum... This is the HOUSTON TEXANS (see the name?) forum, sir. Piggybacking on DonkeyMagic's comment: OP guy, would you like for me to pour tabasco sauce on your peepee?
as opposed to love for what? the texans? lol besides the meltdown itself I remember bill cowher talking at halftime about 'when steelers play oilers next week' ..of course that didnt happen. run and shoot. house of pain. Good times.
And Bud didn't even fire his head coach, something any competent owner would have done the very next day. Which helps explain why he still doesn't have a SB Championship.
