Well possibly I graded him too low. I do think he has higher upside than most so maybe I have too high expectations. My main point though is that shooting is fixable and that he does everything else well.

Cheering for Rafer wouldn't have gotten you reps. I know you wouldn't understand that being as though you only care about Jeremy Lin. The vast majority of our fanbase thought Rafer sucked. He wasn't quite as bad as Lin but he struggled

My point was, a pg with alot of turnovers can still be a good pg. Not saying turnovers are acceptable, but it doesn't mean automatically that this is a bad point guard.

Using Vasquez's full game stats in context of this argument makes no sense. Lin didn't guard Vasquez all game.

You need to go back as see what Vasquez did while Lin was defending him.
The times he DID defend him, Vasquez didn't produce too much.

He's just trying to say if a PG can't lead his team to Finals or championship - not a good PG. ;)

I want to defend Austin Rivers a little.
He has a really nice sounding name, you gotta admit.

Why are we having LOH talk on a night when Jeremy played well?

For starters, I never said Lin had a great game. "Average" or "Mediocre" would likely be my choice of adjective. Someone made a comment about his 3-10 shooting and I was merely pointing out that he contributed in other areas too.

As for his assists, it wasn't cherry picking. I'm not talking about those he kicked out to shooters, but those dished to our bigs right underneath the rim. I adore Asik and am appreciative of his great D, but let's just say that if Lin's PnR big were Tim Duncan or Tyson Chandler, I'm sure his assist rate would've been higher. Not cherry-picking... simply pointing out that some of his effort on O didn't show up on the stat sheet.
