If you can read Chinese, here is the link to a survey done by one of the top Chinese Sports website, you can see for yourself that Chinese basketball fans actually are voting for CP over Lin! 47.9% support CP, 35.2% support Lin. I am surprised by this survey result.

I heard about the Vancouver Grizzlies but did not watch any NBA basketball games until early this year (Linsanity).

You weren't missing much since the Grizzlies weren't a playoff team until 2004 with Coach of the Year Hubie Brown. Houston also got Steve Francis (played with Yao) after the Grizzlies drafted him with the 2nd pick in 1999, but he refused to play for them for various reasons.

I think only the trolls and haters are saying that. The average fan understands that's not the case.

In addition, there was a recent poll in China about whether they would vote for Lin in the ASG and only 30% said they would while 40% said they wouldn't (the rest were undecided).

So it's not as clear cut as people think.

Probably because when the kings are in town the home team has a promotion that night, like first 5,000 get a calander or something

No surprise for me at all. Believe it or not, there are more Lin haters in China than Lin fans in China! Every time Lin got a terrible performance there would be many Chinese fans or fake bb fans bashing Jeremy Lin on the comment boards of their sport websites. The two sides of the world are no different in some columns.

I'm planning a road trip to Portland in April too! To watch the Rockets and do the coast. But I thought it's a 5-hour drive? Why 7? Unless you're in Whistler or something?

I'm excited about Seattle too. Hopefully the Rockets will move there since the attendance in Houston is so low anyway LOL...

Ha! If only they would limit voting to US and Canada, Lin might be voted in as a starter.

Good observation, I have always supported the Rockets through think and thin and being in IT and having a rough year, I had to cut back on several luxuries. Cable and going to games is couple of them. But I cannot remember a time when the local games were not on local TV??? So, for me, yeah... I am kinda pissed... I mean seriously... no local games on local TV...

It's 3 hours drive from Seattle unless you are from different place. Hope Rockets move to Seattle as well. :p

Looks like I am not the only crazy rox fan who drive that long to see the team.
