used to be a lot of better when they didnt charge tax. example buying an xbox: save about 16 bucks in taxes plus driving etc downside: shipping company may throw it over your gate (it still worked fine though)
Prime gets you: Free Shipping 1 book a month for rental (must have kindle) Amazon Instant Video I've been enjoying instant video lately. I still have netflix and use netflix for the free stuff (netflix has more free stuff). But amazon has a good rental selection that they sometimes discount. What I like to do with Prime is: buy something and then select the slow shipping option, that gets me credits for renting movies. Then I wait for the movies to go on sale and use the credit. I haven't paid for a movie rental yet.
this. for some reason, getting your stuff really quickly feels right than saving 2-3 bucks elsewhere and getting ultra slow free shipping.
Definitely Prime. I've had it for about 2 or 3 years now. The content has gotten better every year. I've paid $40 for it each year except the 1st year when it was free with the student price. It also comes in handy a lot when ordering little things from Amazon, 2 day shipping or even 3.99 1 day shipping is great.
I've had prime for a couple of years. Def worth it. $80 a year. Pays for itself especially with 2 day shipping...
Prime is awesome. I just tried that trick where I choose the slow delivery option...I dont quite understand how Im supposed to see my credits building up for movie rentals. Is it based on items purchased, $$$ purchased, etc...?
While I'd rather go to a real store, there are times that Amazon Prime is very convenient. I Prime all the time. Used it a lot for Christmas shopping. We also use the Prime video thingy, which is nice when Netflix is dropping out, which it does more than the Prime video service, at least at my place. Returning things is a bit of a pain, but not too much of one. Have had very good luck getting clothes and stuff that's the size they're supposed to be. Like Moes, we also use Costco. I buy a lot of wine and electronics there. I like the double warranty on stuff like televisions, and it's very, very easy to return things there. You don't even need a receipt. They just look it up on their computer, which is how all stores should be, IMO. I hope everyone is having a great holiday season!
There's tax in Texas and California, so Prime isnt as good as it was. My 40 dollar prime ran out, so I'm still considering if it's worth the 80 bucks for the shipping alone.
worth if it you keep buying stuff. i dont have it anymore but thats cuz i dont have a job and dont buy enough stuff to take advantage of the full $79. if ur gonna buy groceriy stuff u should buy in bulk. one thing i recommend http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RZDMA8/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 they're advertised as energy bars but taste literally like awesome candy bars. i get a few these every years. they're so friggin good...wash them down with soda or beer even better. watch your intake tho. i got these this month after a nearly one year hiatus...i ate too many and had crapping problems lol browse the site if u dont go there often. they got a lotta good deals...speakers, computer parts, clothes, tablets, etc. if u have the money its easy to take full advantage of the $79. definitely worth it
I learned that Amazon was sending out targeted 10% off coupons to select customers. But apparently a whale like me didn't get one in the mail. Maybe I'll get rewarded next holiday season if I weaned myself off Prime.
Prices going up by $20. $49/yr for Students & $99/yr for everyone else. http://www.engadget.com/2014/03/13/amazon-prime-subscription-increase/
when Prime takes 4 days to deliver i don't even know why i even pay for it now. my order from Sunday still hasn't arrived.
