T-Mac LOVES the spotlight. For T-Mac, doing these charitable and kind things kills two birds with one stone.

T-Mac will probably tell the media how he is the best player in the NBA.

Everyone bashes Kobe for being arrogant, and not team motivated, yet T-Mac was the idiot who proclaimed how he was the best player in the series against Cha last year. That might be true, but what the hell was the purpose of saying that? To show that your mind is on T-Mac vs Baron, rather than Orl vs Cha? Win a damn playoff series first, before proclaiming your seat on the throne.

How exactly does that help the Magic, or T-Mac?

Give me a break, the guy loves the spotlight but he does things to help people. I hear people rip athletes all the time for having money but not helping people this and that, so you have a guy who is actually doing it and you have people calling him an egomaniac and a PR w****. Which is it going to be? When you're as popular as McGrady, do you think that people aren't going to find out about things like this? And the bigget irony are people ripping McGrady for going to Orlando and not carrying them in the playoffs, this and that. Yet the same people completely understand what Garnett is going through since he is basically a one man show in the playoffs, the same with McGrady. McGrady's situation mirrors Garnett's. The only advantage McGrady has is Grant Hill potentially getting healthy. Other then that, McGrady is a class guy, he helps people off of the court, including a sniper victim, he's a great basketball player, he respects veterans and he doesn't embarrass the league or get into trouble off of the court. And his teams win while being ridiculously banged up. What on earth do people want from the guy? Now he's a media w****? Complaining about something he said in the playoffs LAST year? Come on.
