James Harden shot 45 percent on isolation shots last season on approximately two attempts per game, which ranked him among the NBA's ten best iso scorers.

As the focal point of the Rockets' offense this season, however, Harden is shooting 25 percent on roughly four shots per game.

^probably because Rox have him playing like a PG

id like to see Harden get MVP (probably not unless we have a winning record)

but at least see him get on the Allstar team...

He played like the PG for OKC when he was playing with the bench.

    But, allstar prediction:

    Chris Paul
    Kobe Bryant
    Kevin Durant
    Zach Randolph*
    Dwight Howard

    Bench
    Tony Parker
    Russell Westbrook
    Marc Gasol
    Kevin Love
    Blake Griffin
    Tim Duncan
    ???

Hopefully Nash doesn't get in... but Iguodala/Curry/Conley are also possibilities.

I am assuming someone stays home, and Harden gets a slot as a replacement, especially since it is in Houston.

*Griffin gets this slot, but zbo deserves it.

This number is really bad, but hero ball iso is crappy in general. One of the worst things that NBA coaches continually fall back on.

who cares, it's not like wins this season mean anything anyway

he can practice his iso in game all season long for all I care, he will eventually need to be good at it.

Of course his percentage is going down on ISO. Teams are just going to double him and there's really not much he can do because everyone is standing around and watching and Patrick Patterson rather shoot a mid range jump shot than dunking

West is a tough year, but the funny thing is if we were in the east Harden is a lock.

His TS% when excluding the first two games is 55% which is still pretty good. When you include those games it is 58% which is excellent.

Excellent enough for 59th in the league! Last year's was 4th with 66%

Would be funny to see Lin, Harden, and Parsons make it to the ASG.

"I am assuming someone stays home, and Harden gets a slot as a replacement, especially since it is in Houston".
Would love to see your allstar ballot, senor! Get it together, Tyrone.

Well for starters Duncan and Gasol WONT make the team, especially with center no longer a position. That frees up space for two more guards, one of which will be harden

Might be right about Gasol. But there is no way Duncan doesn't make the all star game. He has been killing it this year. Heck, he's 5th in the league in PER on the best team in the West!

If Dwight Howard starts over Tim Duncan I'm done with NBA and this is serious I don't care about fanboys or asian fanboys.

Tim Duncan is playing like it's 2003 again while when Dwight effin Howard shoot a free throw the ball hit back on his head.

    Tim is 17/10 in 30mpg
    Dwight is 18/12 in 36mpg

Almost all other categories are a wash, Tim is just doing what he does more efficiently. Tim is on the best team in the west, Dwight's team sucks.

I hope Tim starts, he deserves it, but he plays in SA vs Dwight in LA.

Not a fair assessment. Dwight's defense has been absolutely pathetic which is major factor as to why they're losing (along with his ft%)

Lin is going to get the starting point guard spot. And Harden will probably get a bench spot.
