How did Delfino not have an offer better than 1yr/$3mil+team option?

OP, if you follow international basketball, or the olympics at the very least, you would know that he is on the international team for Argentina. Otherwise, he is just another player. Yes, he is a god roll player and the price for him wasn't steep for the quality. No complaints here! :D

Guys, he's been on the Argentine national team for eight years. He's a big-game player. And far from unknown.

Carlos only average 2.7 assist per 36 vs 2.3 assist for Korver? You seem to be pulling straws out of a hat with that one.

I've seen Korver play a lot more then Carlos so I agree he look bad on defense. But I say based salaries earn GM value Korver shooting way over what Carlos bring to table.

True, Carl, but some are more "streaky" than others. Max was like that. He could play like an All Star for one game, simply being outstanding, and then have 3 in a row where he didn't seem that interested. The great thing about Max, though (IMO), was that he usually stepped up for the big games. Games against contenders, games in the playoffs. I liked that about him. I wonder what Delfino's record is in those kinds of games? Anyone know?

Maxwell was less streaky, and more simply a bad shooter. He never shot well in general or from 3 point land in most years here. Also, Maxwell played hundreds of games for us. Delfino 10. I really don't know how anyone can say a player is streaky based on 10 games. That's quite a knee jerk opinion.

If you can forgive Patterson for his bad start, why are you writing off Delfino as streaky chucker after only 10 games for him? Seems like double standard to me.

    1. Delfino has always been a chucker, not just this season.
    2. Patterson had 3 cold games out of 17, all in the first few games. Delfino had 6 cold games out 10, throughout. Double standard?

We're gonna trade him for value at the deadline just like we did Dalembert.

A contender will want his 3pt shooting and solid D.

I call it the "Samuel Special" when Morey signs a guy for cheap with a team option.

Hate to bring this up again. Tonight's game shows you why Delfino didn't get better offer.

I think I said it earlier but Delfino is a black hole. It's great when he's on but even when he's off he's never seen a shot he doesn't like. I would argue he's the biggest chucker in the league.

he hit the brakes on a fast break that would have tied it in OT.

down by 4 after that, game over...

Come on guys, for the money he's getting he is one of the greatest bargains in the league. Should have still done better on that play.

I always liked our games where Delfino sat. He really is terrible. I don't understand how anyone can defend this guy's shenanigans.
