Looking back at how bad Francis played last year, who do you think will play better between him & Ming.

My pick is Ming! Steve will have a hard enough time getting playing time with all the PG's on the western squad.

    Francis.

Ming will not be used to it. But I am positive that he will score and grab at least 5 rebounds and at least one monsterous block.

Yao is too unselfish to be effective in an All Star game. Moreover, centers are rarely dominant in the All Star game because guards control the ball, and they have free reign to jack up shots and try to make Sports Center highlights.

i think if yao can get the ball early, he'll make some spectacular passes, and that will encourage the guards to get him the ball more. he might become their set up man, you know, so they can "get off".

They should do that Moochie thing - you know - the no-look, over the head pass to a cutting Francis for the backdoor slam. Yao is money on that one, and it's perfect for the ASG. Besides, it's high time those two hooked up on one. Mooch, Cat - get Steve his!

Somehow I think NBA will make sure that Yao's first appearance in the ASG is a successful one. Yao is too important of an asset to NBA right now.

Here is my prediction. Yao with a double-double in his first ASG, 14 pts and 10 boards.

ASG is a guards' game. I bet Steve and Kobe will hog the ball. And Yao needs to compete offensive rebs with Duncan and KG. Difficult task.

Francis scored 2 points last All-Star.

He was shy and timid. I want Francis to play an all around game. Be a floor leader, and let the game come to him; passing, shooting, rebounding...all facets.

Remember, he will have three 7+ footers on the floor at the same time. Use them!

    12 points, and 10 assist for Steve. 3 turnovers....please?

So you are saying it will be like a regular Rocket season game with Francis and Ming?

    I'd say Yao.

The East backcourt is very strong. Arguably even better than the West. While the East frontcourt is relatively weak compared to the West. The MVPs of the game are very likely to be Yao, Shaq, Duncan or Garnett.

Stevie by far. I see Yao starting...but then only playing limited minutes, as SHAQ cruises on a fantastic game. SHAQ is the true center right now. Yao will be in time. I see this game being SHAQ's.

i am hoping adelman will play an all 7 footer line-up

    KG at point
    Dirk at SG
    Timmy D at SF
    Yao PF
    Shaq C

what would the east do then, besides putting a small lineup on the floor? i dont think thiss will happen but it would be awesome to see
