If you watched McHale's post game interview, he said he wanted his team to foul in the dying seconds but the players didn't do it or didn't know who was to do it or nobody wanted to do it. Great communication skill there during critical time, not.
It is absolutely a joke... The coach didn't even know that TD already had 5 fouls in the 4th quarter. What a defensive specialist ...
What is coaches plan in the near future? Play to win by overplaying some players and underplaying other players. We all knew this is youngest team in NBA. Players consistent playing time are very important for their development. Reaching a playoff this year is a nice lucky goal. Do we really want to sacrifice players' development time for the sake of a few wins? Can you guys be consistent somehow? Sigh.
I'm starting to think it's not so much about the better defensive matchup...After today's game I think it's about who is a better complimentary player to Harden. They need a PG who doesn't take that may shots, can't playmake and can just spot up for the trey. I smell a trade coming.
This. Douglas guarding Mayo with 5 fouls at the end of the game. Then McHale wonder why nobody fouled Mayo on that coast-to-coast layup.
Ohhhhhh I get it! The man's name is Kevin McHale, a legendary basketball mind and one of the best post players ever to play the game he now coaches, but you've changed the last syllable in his name to "Fail" in order to suggest failure on his part, or else the internet meme that hasn't been cool for 5 years, because the two words rhyme! That's very clever. Also, very original. Very clever and very original. Both of those things.
Lin fans wanted Sampson gone and now they want McHale gone. Just accept he's not that he's nothing more then a backup pg and move on. He didn't deserve to be benched last night but that doesn't change how poorly he's played this year. It's too bad. Lin's a good guy. I wish I could say the same about his clueless fans
Where was Morris!? He's one that can get his own shot. No ONE but harden can get their own shot. Also why in the world was Aldrich playing more than Asik!? I was at the game and it seemed like he played more.. I'm actually disappointed Mchale is back even tho he can somewhat fix the defense.
P.S. There is no suggesting failure on McHale's part.. McFail cements it as each game goes by. P.P.S. -1 for thinking McFail's playing career has anything to do with the present or his coaching abilities.
I'm not nearly presumptuous enough to think that my pitiful career playing college basketball makes me more knowledgable about the NBA's Houston Rockets than their coach, let alone that I would somehow know more about basketball in general than Kevin McHale, of all people. The internet is a wondrous thing, though. It's filled with so many experts.
Blaming the coach for a team's losses is easily the most cliched and well-worn tradition in all of sports, though, so far be it from me to deprive you of that. Here I'll do it to, and then we can share a beer over this. Kevin McHale! Rawr! So bad at coaching! Arghh! Vague criticism of rotations! Rawr! And a player who is a bad rebounder which I guess is his fault too unnggggh so angry
