If you were an NBA player, what is the LAST city you'd want to play for?

    I was considering putting this in the Dish, but figured it's a better fit here.

    Let's say you were placed on waivers, and a team was going to claim you. Which city would you least want to play for?

    If you take into account nightlife, activities, food, and all that I'd have to say the Detroit Pistons with the Grizzlies, Bucks and Wizards shortly behind.

    What about you?

    Metro Dc is really nice. Detroit also has some of the richest suburbs in the nation. Cleveland... I got nothing.

    DC is a great city.

    Detroit would be my bottom choice, probably followed by Cleveland, Milwaukee, Utah, Memphis, OKC, Indiana, Minnesota, Phoenix and Charlotte in some order.

    New York, Houston, L.A. and Toronto would be my top choices.

    I wouldn't mind playing for DC. I wouldn't want to play for Memphis or Cleveland, and probably not Toronto. Toronto is nice, I've been there once, but I'd just rather not have to move to Canada.

    Denver, Chicago, Golden State and Houston are my preferred

    Utah is nice a nice place but i hate the team, city i hate is dallas so dallas

    NY was my first thought. LA, to an extent, also popped into my head. Didnt consider Miami initially, but you're right.

    No place in the north. New York, Milwaukee, Detroit, D.C., Boston, Chicago, Minnesota, and others would all be placed I'd want to avoid. Ideally, it would be Houston, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, Phoenix, and so on. Memphis would be as far north as I'd want to go. Of course, west coast north isn't the same as east coast north.

    Like everyone else said, DC can be a fun city.


    I would hate playing for Utah, Dallas, Cleveland. But the millions of dollars I'd make would be a nice consolation prize.

    I would feel a little weird about playing for a Canadian city. But Toronto is a great city.

    I think Cleveland and Detroit would suck.
