This probably is the toughest game of the year. Even without Gronk, the Patriots offense is deadly. Biggest thing is obviously getting pressure on Brady. That seems to work the best on him as Arizona succeeded with that, and then last week the Dolphins also got some pressure on him which made him struggle a little. One thing that can't disappear in this game is the offense. Just hoping for a win. NE 28 HOU 24 Hope I'm wrong.
So in terms of Corners...who do you match JJo(assuming he is playing) with... Lloyd or Welker...personally think should keep JJo on Welker and have Kareem cover Lloyd...
This is a win-win. If we win, we all but sew up home field in the playoffs. If we lose, we get a pissed off, motivated team ready to prove to the world once more (ie after Packers loss) that they belong and will thus be ready for vengeance in the postseason should we meet them again.
That might all be fine. But the other guy you have to worry about is Aaron Hernandez. Guy is a monster when he can exploit match ups. Thank god they don't have Gronk.
Very Tough game.... Hopefully we can contain Welker he's been on Fire the last couple of games. We need to almost be mistake free to win this game...also Kubes can't be kicking field goals on 4 & 1 or we won't have a chance. Take Risk!! Texans win 17 to 14.
If it were me? I'd rather see Joseph on Welker since he can give you tighter man coverage against Welker's freaky route running. I think he would twist Jackson like a pretzel. KJ on Lloyd with safety help over the top Hernandez will be a combination of LB (Sharpton, Dobbins), Manning, and possibly Routt Edelman should be out (fingers crossed) Then you've Woodhead, who may or may not motion out of the backfield. That'll be a combination again, like Hernandez. The Patriots can be very effective because they can change the look they give you down to down in a hurry up tempo, sometimes no huddle. 4 wide back to a regular look, to empty backfield, to motion before the snap. They won't give you time to change personnel or call out assignments. You've got to be ready, because their philosophy is to get defenses on their heels and confused. And you can't get so wrapped up about the pass that you forget about Ridley.
Unless I am overlooking a scenario I believe with a Denver and Baltimore loss coupled with us beating the Patriots would seal homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Is this correct ?
I got us finishing the season 14-2. Colts fans are thinking they can sweep us and win the division, and that ain't happening
Spoiler Please. Allow me. If we win, it's only because Gronk is out. If we lose, we're not ready for prime time.
I've already seen that out of some Pats fans. An easy counter to the Gronk thing is saying Cushing is out.
