rebuilding team, no training camp, martin situation and he goes 34-32...stayed basically where we had been under rick the ruler. so why is he mcfail vs. mcsuccessful? i dont understand what it is that the people see as his failings that another coach could solve.
pretty sure mchale's shortcomings as a head coach aren't the only reasons why he is known as "mcfail" across the nba universe. you should check out his history as part of the T-Wolves front office. a quick wikipedia search will suffice. straight up deplorable.
Has anyone called him McFail recently? I think the main reason is that it rhymes. Tiny sample size, but I think one can certainly say that the team has not been performing better in his absence.
cuz were rockets fans and we think were always championship contenders , we also always blame the refs for our losses so why not give the rest of the blame to mchale
basically, anyone who don't use mc'braile, can pretty much see his offense don't mc'entail, x&o's on any normal mc'scale, i mean even a blind dude drunk on mc'ale, could come up with an offense less mc'stale, it's like anything other than P'nR is tha 3rd mc'rail, and he has us launchin 3's as if we got the sonics' mc'dale......so anyways when he come back let's hope he mc'unveils, a long lost offense out his holy mc'grayal, or the only jewelry our team will eva wear is mc'zales
I read the wikipedia article and I did not find anything deplorable in it. So either you did not read or did not understand the article. I paid close attention to it when it happened, and McHale attempted to step in and correct a train wreak. And believe me he was not happy about it.
Basically this whole conniption fit is a product of the schizophrenic behavior of the Rockets fans. I wonder how many of the "McFail" posters were calling for Morris's head a few weeks ago and then fawning over him two games later?
Not so much schizophrenic, in my view, but certainly a lot of fair weather fans that expect every day to be sunny and to receive immediate gratification from every change and move the Rockets make.
I've actually followed McHale's career a great deal ever since his tenure as a front office executive in Minnesota. From his under the table dealings for Joe Smith that cost the team 3 1st round picks, to the handling of the Ndudi Ebi pick, and the whole Garnett fiasco, McHale is a big part of the reason why Minnesota spent a greater part of the last decade swimming int he doldrums of the NBA. His coaching acumen (or lack thereof) and habits which are on full display for Rockets fans haven't changed a single bit from his tenure in Minnesota. McHale was a heck of a player back in the day, but his head coaching/front office resume simply don't match up.
