Maybe the truth is it is no one. This team just doesn't have the talent. After the 1st few games and Harden was playing like LBJ we had a lot of reason for hope. However harden is not LBJ. He is probably closer to poor \mans Dwade which is still really good, but we still need a true #1. With the way our season is going we might end up a lottery pick. I just hope it isn't a late lottery pick. We also have a max cap space.

Our SG is set since he has a max contract. We also have a high dollar player in Lin. Asik is doing pretty good, but Ideally it would be awesome if we could get dwight. Also I like parson's, but we can upgrade here. Finally we have like 12 PF, but we really need a star here so this has to be an upgrade position.

Even with this is a young roster there isn't a superstar on it. Harden I think is an allstar, but he isn't a no doubt all nba first team guy and we need one of those.

    Youth...plain and simple.

You could throw in coaching, which would be justified, but overall we are an extremely young, inexperienced group, and while we have a lot of talent, the experience has hurt us.

We weren't expected to be good, but getting experience and letting our guys develop is the best thing that can happen this season. Winning games is just a bonus.

It would have to be the coaching. Obvious mistakes time after time after time in crucial moments or even for entire overtime periods or games.

Coaching, inexperience, tough competition -- in that order, imo.

McHale needs to come back. The team is losing focus and morale.

    Youth
    Lack of Chemistry
Lack of a low post threat who can run the PNR like a champ
    Missing the head coach
    Inadequate coaching
    Consistent outside scoring
Big men not setting picks/screens & not rolling hard to the rim
    Offense is unimaginative
Lack of driving lanes for the guards
    Terrible spacing
Poor shooting/scoring from both the guards
    Patterson being soft
    Asik having bad hands
    Still early in the season

I think that is about it.

The start isn't poor, this team just isn't talented. I expected 2-3 wins in the first 10 games after the Harden trade, and the Rockets won 4. Harden played at an insane level in the first two games, but that's not sustainable when other scoring options are so lacking.

The Lakers were 34-48 with a Kobe-Odom-Caron Butler team in 2005. The Rockets have less scrubs, but they also have less talent at the top.
4-7 is solid for this team. All things considered, Harden and Asik have been very good, and the team is very young and has a lot of flexibility and many role players with trade value, that's a lot to be happy about.

I stated long before the season started that they would win ~27 games , adding Harden might up that a couple .... but I still thank thats the ballpark number of W's for this team .... Unless one of the PF's lights it up.

PF despite the number of them on the roster is the weak spot on this team as none of them seem to have the inside game the offense is lacking.

I think both Motejunas and Jones have the potential to fill that role in the future .... tho the future now seems light years away. I dont expect either of them to do it this season .... but after they have an offseason to work on their weaknesses.

I almost find it funny that bigs today come to the NBA with no post games .... They all want to play like guards , then get to the NBA and wonder why they are on the bench.
