This is the 4th foolish decision that the coaching staff has made to close games out.

still don't understand what Sampson is thinking - Lin holding Lillard 3-9 shooting 0 assists ~ and TD looks BETTER as a MATCHUP?! WTF IS GOING ON.

That's why he isn't head coach material.

TD is a lil stronger on D than Lin usually, but again- Lin is pretty solid disregarding the steals stats.

So all in all you can't possibly make any justifications that letting him sit out the entire OT was worth it for just a "slight" improvement on D

Meanwhile in Minnesota, Rick Adelman has them 5-4 without Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, and now Budinger.

If Morey is even half sane, he will dump this POS so-called coach. Let the rockets play without any coach. No joke. It would be a huge improvement.

The coaches probably know something we're all ignorant about.

It's like last season when we were all crowing about Scola's lack of defense and wanted the C's to play more but the numbers showed the Rockets were better on D when Luis was on the floor.

This wasn't because Luis was a great defender but because the C's weren't able to hack it. It's night and day comparing Asik's ability to defend to Dally or Camby.

It worked when we first got Harden against Detroit and Atlanta. It seems the more they buy into the system the worse we look on offense.

exactly. Rick Adelman is a world class coach who probably should've won a championship in 2002.

Instead we get Kevin McFail and goons.

Both Rick Adelman and Tom Thibs uses the eye test over Morey's advanced stastics, both are coaching elsewhere and doing quite well

    People wanted to be right.

I was also making the decision in cutting the scrub in Dec, okay, the BOSS bought him in for money later on. I already given him 35 minutes and he failed to guard the rookie PG. So, I have to put another scrub in the entire OT. (I am always right by the way.)

According to the stat we got so far,
    - Defensively, Lin was 5th in PG PPP, 15th overall in PPP, 86th for Doug
    - held Lillard to 3-9, and in the 4th, he drained 3s in front of PPS, not as mislead as 11 in 4 minutes all GUARDED by Lin, ironically, Lin drew off. foul in mismatch with Batum in crunch time
    - Offensively, not even close to compare

I was right till the moment I have to go with my boss, McHale. That's it. Don't even dream about I would put that 8m overpaid asian kid in OT or crunch time again. I would rather give chance for TD to grow into a 8M player instead. And yay, we lost, just bad luck, Lin may get us lost 10 points instead. It's better now!:p

Too vague, compare their rebounds, assists, blocks and +/-

    Alexey Shved had 22pts and 7asts tonight. He's 23yo and on a $3m/yr contract.
