harden needs to find another way to split the double team. maybe he can use teleportation? because what they're doing is placing a 3rd defender to clog, that guy reaches and knocks the ball loose once harden splits the double team.
The Rockets are giving him a lot of freedom on his drives, and he's been a turnover machine as a result. Hopefully he figures out how to choose his spots better with more experience as a number 1.
For him to attack he needs to be at the top of the key & there needs to be improved spacing. Both of those things have yet to happen so he will continue to be "passive". The first because of a coaching decision which I think is a mistake & second because of the current construct of the roster. Improved shooting by the team will open up space, guys setting screens & picks & rolling hard to the rim as well would help not just Lin but Harden as well.
It’s too easy for teams to simply trap Harden or double him when he makes a move, and he really hasn’t responded well to that kind of pressure. I’m sure it doesn’t help that he’s never played near this many minutes per game in his career, or endured this level of physicality and contact. It’s going to be an adjustment for him, especially after everyone took notice with his first 2 MVP level performances. I am not worried about Harden in the long run though he is to smart to not figure it out.
We have a way - let Lin manage the ball ~ or pass the ball earlier ,and move move, pass move move - until someones open.
It's funny how this thread has so little posts. Whereas if it was a thread about how bad Lin is then it would have several pages by now. I think this shows that the haters definitely outnumber the LOHs and the LOH problem is also overblown.
I don't think it has anything to do with numbers of whatever posters. Usually when statistics are presented for an argument, the thread is relatively short because very few people have either the time or the aptitude to do enough research to support or debunk the argument. Although I would like more people who can do what durvasa does, so that this kind of discussion would be more lively, I know it is not realistic. Anyway, I much prefer this kind of threads than those mudslinging threads which are quite prevalent in the GARM.
Parsons 1 Omer 3 Harden 2 Lin 2 Douglas 2 Delfino 1 ------------ Lots of improvement! Though I think there were a few turnovers that could have been avoided.

Your stats are not helping me to jump to conclusions and Knee jerking. Which I think is the major draw here.
I don't know if it's intentional but your thread is pretty misleading and fooling people. Lin: 6.1APG Rondo: 12.5APG Paul: 10.3APG Deron: 7.7APG Of course his turnover numbers and TO/36min will be lower than those of the assist leaders.
And guys like Kidd and Nash had almost twice as much assists in the mentioned years, so either do ast/to ratio and put it into context with how many of the assist load he has to carry or stop misleading people here.
How about Harden who has almost the same amount as assists as turnovers? No one is complaining about his turnovers.
Ast/TO Paul: 4.82 A/TO Rondo: 4.0 A/TO Lowry: 2.5 A/TO Lin: 2.45 A/TO Lillard: 1.96 A/TO Deron: 1.93 A/TO Not the full story because one stat is not the end of the world but it does give a clearer picture. Lin's 2.5 steals per game is great but he still needs to improve in multiple areas of his game. Give Lin more time, its still early.
