So much for a home court advantage. Even with our guys attacking the rim they get no calls.

This has been going on for as long as I can remember. This happened most games last year. Not too surprised.

Every time Joey Crawford officiates a Rockets game something goes wrong. It will be blissful when that wrinkly old hag retires.

That's why we blew two EASY fast break buckets at the end of the game. That's why they called offensive goal tending when we simply could not box out their players. That's why they got 2 points off of a free throw... after Faried MISSED BOTH FREE THROWS.

You're right. Gotta blame someone, right?

    Crawford hates the Rockets.

    It is known.

It is said that in a Laker game he literally said something like "Who gives a ____ about the Rockets?"

I've never watched Crawford officiated rockets game and feel like it was fair. I eagerly await his retirement.

The team sucked tonight. Officiating really had nothing to do with the outcome. What's even worse is that Denver played bad too for a whole half, and they got away with it on the road.

its terrible to know that rockets could have won a bunch of games last season and other past seasons if it werent for the refs, especially joey crawford. Anyone remember that dallas game last season?

    Yeah the team played bad.

Lets not go with the "Team played horrible though, refs didn't matter."

No, why give the refs a excuse to suck? Crawford always does this ____ to us. That is why the moment it is known he's officiating a rockets game everyone just sighs and hopes for the best.

Always has been. Nothing new here. But this game is on the Rockets, not the refs

Or, you know the problem may very well be that the Rockets only have one player who can score.

    Just a hunch.

You can only blame a ref for so long before it gets old. The rockets kept shooting themselves in the foot, plain and simple. When you don't make shots, turn the ball over, slack off on defense, and run questionable plays....you will lose games.

This was Crawford trying to say that he decides who is a star, and who is not going to get the calls....Didn't he throw Clyde out of some games in the playoffs, or was that O'Donnell...Did that guy ever get thrown out of the L...

    Man Crawford must hate TX.
Always a classic on how he threw out Tim "STAR OF THE NBA AT THE TIME" DUNCAN "MR. Could do no wrong"-gets thrown out of a game from the bench without saying, but I think one word, if THAT....
This game was badly called early on, I understand not getting every call, but we were getting hacked, and continued to drive...Not unitl the 3rd qtr. did we get our first "real call" when Harden drove to the hoop early...other than that play we really didn't get any calls to go our way...Den however, had many touch calls, and that pick set by Patterson man what a pick, are you serious, is this pee wee basketball...c'mon man...

    Exactly man...

Everyone knows about Crawford, you can go to a general NBA forum and not many fans like this guy.

The Rockets were being aggressive, getting in the paint. All those same drives a guy like Kobe or Wade would have got the whistle. We all know that too, it wasn't that Harden was looking for the calls...he was doing the same exact thing he did the other games.

Seriously, for those who haven't followed basketball for a long time, Joey Crawford has a LONG running reputation of not only bias against individual teams and players, but HORRIBLE officiating... not bad, HORRIBLE...

For those new to the Joey Crawford is AWFUL bandwagon, here are some of his more choice miscalls...

Foul called on player 12 (TWELVE!) feet away...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vaZIAXJJDKQ

Tim Duncan ejected for Laughing at a bad call...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kOygTd1NWCM

Joe Crawford FOULS a player, then call it on another player...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wugrOmbsV3U

Technical foul called on Perkins for doing a standard block...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eXsvLjkQ3vg#!

Technical foul called on Kenyon Martin for a normal in-game foul...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMbeofvM1L0&feature=player_embedded

He screwed up on a TON of foul calls tonight. He also has a reputation for being a refereeing Diva... changing the outcome of games as he likes attention. He was also suspended at least once by the NBA for his crappy officiating.

Seriously... Joe Crawford makes experienced basketball fans groan multiple games per year.

Yea the Rockets did played bad but and had a hard time against Faried who was getting all the boards. But the refs were indeed terrible. AI did a good job on Harden but there are plenty of times in the beginning where Harden drove to the basket and they hacked him pretty hard causing him to lose the ball and there were no whistle. Because of that, it really took a toll on the Rockets morale this game and causing Harden to lose some confidence.

When Harden drives to the basket, he maneuvers the ball around so that it wouldn't be strip unless the opponents grab or hit his arm causing him to lose the ball. Its really hard to really strip Harden when he's driving to the basket unless they foul him or cut him off. In this case, every time he drives in against the Nuggets, they suffocated him and reached in and most of the time hit his arm forcing him to lose the ball. When the officials doesn't call the foul, it really changes Harden and the Rockets aggressiveness.

So basically this game, the Rockets lost because of the bad officiating and also they played bad. This team is still young and has a lot of learn about each other so expect a lot of growing pains. Don't expect Harden to save this team's butt anytime soon because he's still young but he will slowly grow into that superstar role for Houston. But the Rockets must get him some help also. Lin did ok but Ty destroyed him and he also had a hard time scoring tonight also.
