It's tough to say Iggy has shut down Harden. Harden has gotten into the lane but just hasn't gotten calls he gets every other night.

 

Next game is against Miami? Smh

it dont matter if Lin or Harden are fearless and go to the basket if they wont get the foul call its just gonna be another turnover

 

Lin is told to give the ball to Harden as soon as he brings the ball up half court. This is McHale's call.

 

He actually has been getting fouled almost every single time he drives to the basket. 9 out of 10 games he gets all of those calls. This particular game.... Good ol Joey Crawford is purposefully not giving the Rockets that call.

Thats the problem I have with NBA refs... they are not very consistent, and it takes the players at least a quarter of the game just to figure out how the game is going to be called.

Im not complaining about the refs swallowing the whistle, just the inconsistency I see with the NBA refs.

 

It's game 4 in a 82 game season.. Chill out.. They will have bad games, tonight harden is off. You guys act like we are supposed to win a title this year and are all pissed after one half in game four.. If we comeback and win and everyone will go back to the other ditch of "oh man Lin is amazing, blah blah blah".. Half these guys have never played with each other before it takes time.. Knee jerk reaction fans haha

 

Sounds crazy enough to work. Why not? Maybe we'll get more points, what's the worst that could happen?

 

1) Lin's being effing passive out there, looks like he has zero confidence... I miss Lowry

2) Harden needs to stop looking for calls, just play ****ing ball dude and he may be our best scoring option but he's not "the man" yet so he needs to stop playing like he is

Did you not see the quote mentioned in game earlier from the assistant coach saying the offense is not a democracy and that Harden will get the most shots?

This pretty much means everyone is being told to defer to Harden or try and set him up, making sure he gets the most touches. Obviously not everyone has the green light, not even Jeremy.

 

Last season with the Knicks, I've never seen Lin play this passive...........

 

Quietly steps off the mchale bandwagon...

 

Bright side: possibility of seeing some rooks (even if it isnt a blowout, but just to switch things up)
and Harden not getting those calls will lead him to being more aggressive when he gets into the paint, like he did his last drive

 

That's not Lin's game to make long-range 2s. He'll either a drive to the rim or shoot 3s kind of player. Lin is a PG, not an undersized SG.

 

I guess you don't like watching monster comebacks.

right, and anyone driving to the basket is allowed to get mugged with no call. So, this game is giftwrapped to Denver by the Refs.

Denver has bigs that bangs down low and Wing players that hits 3s.

 

Nailed it. This isn't basketball at all, if I wanted to watch a real ISO-heavy team that works, I would watch Carmelo Anthony's team. It's built around him, and Woodson makes Melo's isos work along with other plays. Except Melo is a elite ISO player, one of the best in the league at ISO, and NYK has more plays than just chucks up 3's and ISO.

But this team is just ISO Harden and shoot 3's. WTF is this. This coach needs to be fired asap, Mike D'antoni's offense would do wonders for this team.

 

I think in order to play at his best, Lin really has to be allowed and encouraged to lead the attack and create for himself and others. I think they need to reverse Harden's and Lin's roles, because Harden can do what they are asking Lin to do. He's the SG after all.
