I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed this, but ever since the trade happened, even before he played his first game for us, James Harden has been in the media and the Rockets have been on almost every Sports show known to man. The Rockets are in the media again for the first time since the Rockets vs Lakers playoff series with positive reviews so far in this early season. I for one am very excited to hear so many people talking about the Rockets. Even some analysts are saying that Harden could lead the league in scoring this year.

What do you guys think about all the attention that Houston is getting? Does anyone think its just going to be a passing phase where the Harden deal and his great play to start the season will eventually fade out? Or will we be in the media for the entire year because of Lin and Harden and maybe even a splash trade for another big this year? Are we a playoff team or just really exciting to watch right now? I've heard both sides on TNT and ESPN lately and I'm curious what everyone thinks about this.

Plus if anyone has video clips of our high praises so far, this would be a great opportunity to post them and get everyone else excited about the Rockets again.

It really depends on our play.

If we continue being hot, then we'll be relevant.

If not, then I guess the bashing from this thread is all you'll get.

I don't think it's a big deal. A lot of media attention isn't necessarily a good thing- just look at Jeremy Lin last year and how everyone is piling on and hating on him now. As long as the team is doing well, I couldn't care less how the outside media perceives us.

    Yep. It's been pretty obvious.

Harden has been nails in his first couple starts.

Who cares about the National Media when 3/4 of the population here can't view the games.

Morey and Les Alexander do. They are banking on our exposure and marketability to attract big time players. They make this apparent virtually every time one of the two speak nowadays.

But in the end we do. Remember when SI didn't print a champions edition for our second championship? And we had to make a big stink over it before they did? If we're relevant we won't have to deal with that.

i think it's great. as mentioned earlier this is our chance to get another big name to houston. we're young and we have a potentially explosive back court. if we just keep playing hard, get some solid chemistry and build confidence i think we have a real future ahead of us.

When will Morey make a trade ? Paul Millsap will be a good choice for this team. Tough rebounder, good scorer in the post. Make it happen Morey ! If not Paul Millsap then maybe Josh Smith ? I know he has some problems shooting, but we don't really have many options. Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge are both pipe dreams. Will never happen.
