If I were to split the cost of a subscription with a few friends, would we be able to watch a game at the same time from different IP addresses?
YMMV, and I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I did this last year with a friend and the NBA did not do anything about it.
Were you logged in at the same time? Because anyone can log in at different times at different IP's but not at the same time usually.
We didn't bother to stagger our usage, and I'm sure there were games that we were both watching simultaneously in different places. So yeah, we were both probably logged in at the same time at some point. But of course YMMV.
I did the same thing, let a friend use my password from another city and we were on at the same time.
Thinking about getting League Pass (live in Auburn, Alabama). Just wanted to bump this thread and see if anybody could help me out. If I split the cost with a buddy of mine, would we be able to log on at the same time and watch the game on broadband simultaneously?
It keeps you on simultaneously for about 2 minutes, then the person who logged in 1st will be kicked off.
it's possible. I've been sharing my account with a buddy for three seasons now. we text each other to see if we are both on and it works. the way I see, a father and son could split an account/ share password while one is away at college or some scenario like that. give it a shot and see if it works is your best bet... edit: I see I posted the same thing a year ago. it still works
I shared with 8 of my friends last year. During high usage times, (maybe more than 3 or 4 at once?) we started getting an error message about too many logins at once. Luckily I was the only one obsessed enough to be watching nightly.
If anyone needs access, let me know, I have the LP for TV on DirecTV and have the Broadband Works good. let me know.
