Seriously...what in the world was he doing? I can't imagine a defensive strategy that didn't involve Westbrook sticking on Parker, and he somehow ended up guarding no one on the complete opposite side of the floor.

It looked like he shaded over because he was worried that Danny Green was going to beat Sefolosha off the dribble from 2 steps behind the arc? Really?

I see alot of flashy highlights from Westbrook no doubt he has proven to be an all star caliber type of player..... but I can't say I many OKC games.

Is this just a momentary lapse in Westbrook's game or does has he proven over time to have low basketball IQ?

So glad we got Harden in any case

And it was a well deserved rip too. He said pretty much what everyone knows about Westbrook and his tendencies to try and do too much.

You could see the diff in coaching on both plays. Scott Brooks wanted Westbrook to handle the ball, why?, then pass it off to a KD coming off a screen, how not obvious...leading to a Leonard steal. While on the other end Pops just moved the ball perfectly to Tony's hands. Splash.

I was convinced OKC would trade Westbrick/Dumbbrook at the end of the 2010 campaign after one of the most embarrassing series of dumb plays ever witnessed in assoc history. That combined with his equally embarrassing tantrums signaled the end of his stay in OKC.

Or, so I thought. Now, he's widely regarded as one of the top 5 PG's in the league, and a key component of OKC's title hopes.

I also considered Scott Brooks one of the least intelligent coaches in the nba. And yet he's been to the finals and conference finals in consecutive seasons.

I still consider OKC basketball very close to being unwatchable. I wish there was another team that could legitimately challenge the heat.

That play was well set up. Watch the man with the ball at the top of the key, he took a hard dribble to the right. Westbrook was guarding the ball and not his man at that point and bit on the hard dribble, freeing up Parker on the opposite side. In most basic basketball terms, Westbrook did not have vision of the ball and his man at the same time, and he got burnt. . . ... bad
