    Called dish network to cancel..they ended up giving me $40 off my bill for an entire year and a free upgrade to their new dvr ..yay...

    Man the tried to talk me into the hopper dvr, you better check the rules around recording with it. You are limited on the hopper dvr, check into it there is some BS behind it. I quit them after 14 years and went with Direct.

    I've read where some Directv customers are getting significant monthly discounts off of their bill, such as 50 bucks a month off. Or they are getting free league pass for the season.

    I call them and they are not offering to me. I thought DTV was the best at keeping their customers. I guess not.

    I'm threatening to switch.

    I actually just left Directv after 17 years with them. I'm MUCH happier with Dishnet, except now I can't watch my Rockets games, I should have went with comcast. :\

    Just got done talking with Directv...

    I talked with Greg at Directv and they said they will not be carrying Rockets games this year. I called to see if they would do anything to help me stay, and nothing was done. His words" sorry to give you the bad news".:mad:

    There is no way Greg from directv knows if they won't carry rockets games the entire year.

    Are you ****ing kidding me?? **** DirecTV then. Ill cancel and tell them I will sue them if they try to get a cancellation fee out of me (my wife is an attorney :grin:)

    Deal with the Devil

    I do have experience with Comcast and they are unreliable and have the worst customer service. I was thrilled when At &T arrived just so I could kick Comcast out. I was irritated when I heard the Astros and Rockets entered an agreement with Comcast. They can keep their CSN and while I know it's not likely I hope they fail.

    Holy ****, none of you actually believe him right?

    Like BigM says, even if that guy actually called directv and the person helping him said that (so unlikely I don't even know why I'm entertaining the possibility of it), that guy doesn't know dick about the negotiations.
