This might have been posted before, if so feel free to lock this thread.

I thought it was really cool though reliving how good Hakeem was. This whole season's silver lining might just be refinding old Hakeem greatness.

What an awesome piece. Nice to hear Hakeem get his props from his peers.

That's respect that is well deserved. The media at the time would have never said that Hakeem was the better talent, but we all knew it.

I have NEVER heard/seen a past/current player who have not given Hakeem props. And with the crop of current players who have looked to Hakeem to improve their game, it will only solidify Hakeem's place in history among non-Rocket fans, where he already stood tall.

Nice find. Dream was special. I can't believe his career is over. It all went by so fast.

This is pretty old and have seen it and the rest of Open Court alot of times. I reccomend it. Dream is the best C ever!

Honestly a better comparison would have been Kareem to Hakeem. Wilt and Russell and Shaq were all in an era with much less competition at the C position, so the debate for best C is between those 2 in my opinion

Videos of and about Hakeem should not have a post limit on the GARM.

I can watch him all day.

Yea this show was on last season during the lockout. This is the topic about who's better between Hakeem and Ewing. Its always nice to hear other people acknowledge this team's great player.

i dont get why miller picks Ewing because had to learn how to play offense, well Hakeem had to learn what basketball was at the age of 16.

He says in the beginning Hakeem is better, but he dedicates his time to talking about Ewing b/c of their rivalry.

He didn't. He picked Hakeem but talked about Patrick because he felt he was underrated and also the player he faced the most out of the two.

Ewing had the misfortune of being Dream's contemporary. The man was one hell of a center, but just not in Olajuwon's class. Not that anyone really was. Patrick would lay waste the centers of today, IMO. He would certainly out-sweat them.

Hell, Benoit Benjamin would lay waste to most of today's centers.

Hakeem was lauded by Shaq after the '95 finals and said if there was ever a center to pattern his game after, it was definitely Hakeem.
