I supported Manchester United starting back when Howard started for them at goalkeeper. But they dumped him after, I felt, not giving him enough time. And then the whole Anti-Glazer thing left me kind of sour, it's not like Donald Serling bought them. It's tough to pick an EPL team and stick with them. Can't support Arsenal, just can't, even when Henry played for them. Chelsea were fun to watch when Mourinho coached for them because he was a show in itself. Man City, Everton, Tottenham, Newcastle Utd??? No. Just never had any appeal for me. Liverpool, I thought about it. When I was working at one of the Strip casinos, I started talking to a Liverpool fan and he asked me who I followed and I said "no one really". He said "support, Liverpool, we need all the fans we can get." And this was right before they won that Epic CL final in Istanbul. Those two semi-finals matches between Liverpool and Chelsea were some of the best, most exciting football I've ever watched and only one "goal" was scored between them. I know Fulham seems to favor American talent more than the other EPL teams, so I tend to watch them when they're on TV. Personally, I only follow 2 soccer teams: Houston Dynamo and San Martin De Porres (Lima, Peru). They're the only teams I've ever spent my money on. Well them and the Rockets. I will not support Barcelona, they don't need any more support and if you want to find a team with a bunch of bandwagon fans, you need not look any further.
Thought you said Roma and Stoke, was a joke? I'm serious about Bayern, Arsenal and City, teams with great history. City is disrespected nowadays because of their money from Sheikh Mansour though, so if that worries you go with Arsenal or Bayern.
Before this past couple of years, City hasn't been relevant for the last 50+ years. Wouldn't really call them a club with great history. Nottingham Forest and Leeds Untied have more history than City and I hate Leeds. Maybe its my red tinted glasses but that's how I see it. Think for newcomer, if you like the German Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund is a good team to support. Or you can root for their bitter rivals Schalke. I like Dortmund better. As for EPL, Man United is good but if you want to be different, I'd go with Newcastle or Tottenham.
Modric signs with Real Madrid. Real Madrid's bench is godly lol, would be a top club in most leagues. higuain modric kaka carvalho sahin callejon Diarra marcelo
i don't see jack leaving anytime soon...i support arsenal and dortmund...both have similar pholosophies and are exciting to watch
Sahin was loaned to Liverpool. Kaka is about to be sold. I think Oezil might actually move to the bench a lot now that they have Modric...
Was talkin about the 60s/70s, they were a great club at that time with some legends and trophies. After that, not so much, but still a good era. Good club with great fans.
Not only is Wenger in love with him, but you only have to take a look at his Twitter to understand how much gunner blood runs through Wilshere's veins. In season, off season, playing, injured ... it doesn't matter. He's constantly rooting for Arsenal and talking smack like he was born at Highbury or something. I'm not going to say never -- any Arsenal fan knows better than that -- but Wilshere is about as close to a true loyal Gunner as it gets.
That being said... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ntcKlWqfdt8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Go Spurs!
Apparently just rumors. Rodgers inquired about him and Clint's head got all big and told everyone and their mum that he's going to LFC. No offer has been made and most likely will not ever. Clint's strike killed his value and I'm sure no one would want a cancer on their team.
Killed his value because he's trying to force a move? He's not the first to do this and won't be the last. Berbatov did a similiar thing with the Spurs a few years ago and I don't think he was ever labeled a "cancer". Watching Fox Soccer over the weekend, an interesting question was brought up. Is there a certain stigma against US players? Dempsey is still young (29) and was one of the top scorers last season. I can't help but think that if he was European, more teams would be clamoring for his services.
I think there is. Dempsey has improved every season in the EPL and is just in his prime. There is no reason he shouldn't be with a top club. At this point, though, he needs to be playing. If there isn't anything firm right now, make up with Jol and get back on the field. Then, next season he can go wherever he wants on a free transfer.
