it need some key points to a petition... like Tradition, and attracting Stars... the Jerseys was an attempt to attract people from China.. and they even hired a Chinese Designer.. What about the people here in Houston...

The designer was actually a well respected fashion/costume designer from Japan who passed away earlier this year. Her film work is amazing, I just suppose sports wasn't her thing.

It's also worth noting that in most cases like these, it ultimately is up to the client as far as final say goes. He may have passed on a b****in' jersey in favour of the ones they wear now.

So I noticed some comments on new uniforms to go with our "New Age of Rockets basketball" slogan and I figured I'd just bump this thread in lieu of starting my own.

I'm pretty sure (and I am hoping, hard) that the Rockets will change unis next season. The last time we landed a franchise player in Yao, we played a full season with the PJs before switching to our current ones. We just landed Harden, and while it's a bit premature, I think he's the definite (bearded) face of the franchise. I expect us to ride out the rest of the season with the league's worst uniform/logo before unveiling the change next season.

Personally, I'm hoping that they abandon the stylized "R" design completely and go modern retro, or something like what the Warriors did. The designs in the OP are nice, to be sure, but I think a completely overhaul needs to be done.

Also, it's been a few years but I am genuinely excited for Rockets basketball. Good vibrations abound. :)

No red and yellow. That is the definition of tacky.

I don't know why... but tonight the uniforms looked good. I used to dislike the Rockets uniforms, but for some reason I thought they looked good.

    Did they do something different?

I think one of the biggest problems was the cut of the uniform. They seemed to fit better or something. I don't know... maybe it's just me.

Couldn't catch the game, but maybe it's just you? the design is still crap. I think maybe it's the Harden effect.

    This.

I'm looking at Portland's new alternates right now... Damn those are good.

Why why why did we change the championship logo, we need to go back.

I think they had intentions to already change uniforms before Yao. Could be wrong.

I like em a lot..... But ANYTHING is better than what we have now. although, I do like our alternate away jerseys, even if they do make us look like a team sponsored by McDonald's.

I don't get why people hate the current ones, they are at least unique and red. The ones in the OP were horrendous, looked trashy and cheap
