Pure propaganda. Morey's been selling this nonsense since he got here. Draft picks, cap space, assets etc. If you can't outbid the Cavs then Morey's been bluffing this whole time

    Bynum or Bust
Adelman's a better coach in every aspect. Rotations, offense and defense. Give Adelman Dally and Camby we would've been a 6th or 7th seed last season. That late season collapse had everything to do with Mchale's failure to adjust. He's just not able to make adjustments on the fly like Adelman. He's a lousy decision maker & coach

Propaganda insinuates it isn't true. It is true. When he got here we had zero cap space. Our last draft we had three freaking first round picks. How is it propaganda?

    Screw Bynum.
Better coach with exact same results? Adelman got his HAND PICKED CENTER Brad Miller and we still missed the playoffs.

Not able to make adjustments on the fly? He didn't even have a training camp or contact with any of his players due to the lockout. He also had a much more compressed season with less practices and STILL posted a record identical to Adelman's post-yao.

So this thread turns into different strands.

Back to Palillo- if he "puts you to sleep" with solid content then perhaps you shouldn't complain about shallow assholes lke Innes, since that seems to be what you want. Or do you want shallow assholes so long as they lick Morey's sack?

Bashing the management and/or players is apart of being a loyal sports fan. The Garm is full of loyal fans praising and bashing former players. Some of us are just tired of hearing the same promise for the last 3 years.

FALSE the team has not had the same promise the last 3 years ... 2 years ago, team was anticipating a yao ming return from surgery, they were going to bring him along slowly and pair him in kmart and klow... last year was the first year that we knew we would be without yao and we tried and had a deal in place for a guy who averaged 18 points and 10 boards (which would have easily been 20 10 with the rockets providing more offensive touches) along with a guy who averaged 14 and 8 (nene) but the league in a unique decision making process turned it down (that trade would have also left lin on our team btw)

It was not until last year that we started hearing the clamor about wanting to get a superstar (ok well it started in the 10-11 season after yao retired) so dont say we have had the same promise the last 3 years that is a blanket statement that is just not true

bottom line is this, rockets have stayed a winning team (media wants us to think that is a bad thing, which would make whts going on wiht the stros a good thing) barring a complete collapse last year, we should have made it to the playoffs... yes we are no where near contending for a championship but we have an exciting brand of basketball, youth and potential ... it is july and we are all talking basketball that is a good thing!!! how many cities are talking about basketball right now?

Forget all that...I'm annoyed that Morey keeps saying that Rockets got Lin and a lottery pick for Lowry. The way I see it Rockets got Lin and a lottery pick but lost Lowry and Dragic. All in all my recap of the offseason considering only the major pieces...

Rockets lost Dragic, Lowry, Camby, Scola, and Courtney Lee
Rockets received Lin, lottery pick, and 3 second round picks

I'm not trying to argue or piss anybody off but would like your thoughts.

We're nowhere getting a superstar more than any other year. The notion we're "right there" is false. We could possibly spend the next 8-9 years positioning while Morey's still trying and you guys blaming Les. It never stops. You guys are celebrating mediocrity and its disgusting

So let's get this right. You'll take a chance on Lin, but pass on Bynum? LMAO. Lin only played 25 games last season!!! He's not even top 10 at his position lol. Bynum is arguably the best player besides Howard. Just stupid bro. Give me Bynum any day

No team had training camp. What's your point? Regardless of the records, given the fact Mchale had a two 7footers while Adelman had none without Yao, and couldn't get it done baffles me. The guy's late season coaching was ATROCIOUS. Adelman always had us ready to play

Our goal isn't to win, we want to suck so we can rebuild. So if lose 4 vet's that would keep us on path with that 14th pick, while gaining a high risk high reward 23 year old, a lottery pick, and 3 2nd rounders (one most likely top 5) then I'm more than happy with that.

I disagree 100%, the Rockets are improving without a doubt.
That may not mean that the record will be better this year than last year but we are putting together a more talented team.

Maybe you don't follow much basketball if think we are treading water.

Adelman was a very good offensive coach but face it his defense always sucked and he wasn't going to take us anywhere.

Let's be fair. Martin was not nearly as good as he was the year before and was injured for about 1/2 the season. Lowry missed significant time. McHale made some mistakes playing Scola and Patterson at the five but Brad Miller got way to much burn in the clutch. Both coaches made terrible rotation errors so don't think Adelman was some guru.

    Terrible misconception.

Do your homework. Adelman was a great defensive coach. During the 22 win streak we shut teams down defensively. When Yao went out we went extra small which meant more uptempo, which means more possessions. We gave up alot of points to but we scored alot more too.

Where were you when this was happening

Lin is not being paid max. I realize you don't understand or respect cap situations. You sound like the perfect Knicks fan.

Bynum has a history of being immature, a douche, and injury prone.

You said he can't adjust on the fly. He played an entire season on the fly.

Adelman had a 7 footer. He is the r****d I posted a video of. Watch it.

Nah, the good defense was leftover teaching from the JVG coaching days. The defense got worse every year after.
