This argument is idiotic. If you are going to make this assumption about Parsons of all people who's been incredibly well spoken and by all means a great teammate, you may as well assume nobody wants to play with Lin. If he was truly upset about not being "The Man" don't you think that would've shown up last year when he was the 4th or 5th option on offense in starting line-up?

Obviously, lip service by players can sometimes be taken with a grain of salt, but listening to Parson's during one of the summer league games, he said he has been working on several things this offseason.

He talked about getting stronger but he first talked about improving his shot. He said it will help him be able to penetrate and CREATE FOR HIS TEAMMATES easier.

Regardless of what Solomon has said over the last few years (about the Rockets trying to "sell" hard work and effort to us fans), we have been lucky enough to for the most part have a good group of TEAM players through these frustrating recent years, making it easy to pull for them.

Parsons fits that mold and I don't see him changing or becoming a problem in any way due to Lin being here.

Question: have we tendered the signed offer sheet to Chicago? If so, when.

I've read pages and pages of this thread and still don't know.

We are going to need a lot more than Howard to beat the Lakers, Heat and Thunder and that's if Howard even agrees to stay. The Lakers getting him is different because he has agreed to stay there and they have the pieces to win now.

Throughout this dust storm...named Dwightmare...people fail to see that Dwight is still a top 5 talent...and instantly changes this lineup...and when he plays..he plays...doesnt need to always score..just rebound and block shots...and thats something he really does on a nightly basis...

Overpaying for a center is really not overpaying...there are so few tru centers left in the game...Asik will do fine...

The Rockets can sign Asik upon the first to happen of (1) Leuer and Jordan clearing waivers/being picked up; or (2) the Lee S&T being completed.

My guess is that Leuer and Jordan clear waivers first.

Look for Asik to sign up sometime tomorrow late afternoon/early evening.

Bima, two questions: Why do we need a Lee sign and trade to happen? What is the kink that is being worked out with the Lee trade?

I believe the contracts we get back from the Lee deal are A)smaller than Lee's cap hold and B) going to be waived except for Johnson. That allows us room to sign Asik.

Bima said that the issue with Moore's contract is that it becomes guaranteed once his team's summer league is over with. Houston's is already over with but Boston's isn't. The question is whether his contract is instantly guaranteed once he gets sent here.

The only logically way to find out is to make a new thread about it. I mean that's what everybody does nowadays. lol

The Rockets don't NEED a Lee S&T. This is just yet another example of getting something in return for an otherwise-departing player without negatively impacting their cap too greatly.

The kink in the Lee S&T likely has to do with E'Twaun Moore's contract. It is non-guaranteed but becomes fully guaranteed if he's not waived by the day of his team's last summer league game. Even though the Celtics are still playing in Vegas, the Rockets finished up already. So there is some confusion over whether Moore's salary would become guaranteed merely be being traded to Houston.

PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART: The teams are either looking to resolve this issue directly with Moore and his agent or are looking for a third team to take Moore. CH joked about it in another thread, but--as silly as this sounds--they may try trading Moore to a third team that is still playing in summer league just so that the third team could legally waive Moore without his contract being guaranteed.
