Dwight says he will sign long term with LA. meaning were probably gonna be the 3rd team and land...... ANDREW BYNUM. 24 years old. The future looks great for young Rockets. They'll grow together. OKC rebuild on steroids. A complete team of youngsters from PG to Center.

    I fckin love it.

Andrew Bynum is a 24 year old with the knees of a 66 year old prostitute.

Everyone talks about free agents not leaving $30 million on the table -- Same holds true for Bynum. He probably won't sign in Houston for a lot less than he could get from LA next year. This would have to be a sign and trade --- so, the only reason it makes sense to wait until next year would be Morey thinking the price would drop at that point....which it probably won't.

Let's hope that 'one more marquee move' is trading with ATL for Josh Smith...or with PHI for Andre Igoudala.

Agree, but let's be honest, we are probably 3 years away.
I hope McHale has the patience to see it all the way through. Consistency will be an aid to their their development.
Next summer, we will be able to add one or maybe even two more lottery picks.
    The future looks bright.
I was very happy to read that Les has been watching the same summer league games as me.

Les is a good owner. He is not afraid to roll it when needed, and clearly wants a winner more then worrying about his own pocket. There are so many crappy ones out there.

    I see.....

I want you to go back over the last 30 years, and see the number of franchise players were drafted in the top 5, and compare it to the number of franchise players drafted 6-30 and tell me which group is more impressive.

When was the last time an NBA team whose best player is a center won a championship? You have to go back to Shaq with the Lakers to get that. Here are the NBA finals MVP over the past few years and their positions

    NBA Champs
    Team (best player)(position)
    2012-Miami (Lebron)(SF)
    2011-Dallas (Dirk)(PF)
    2010-LA(Kobe)(SG)
    2009-LA(Kobe)(SG)
    2008-Celtics (Pierce)(SF)
    2007-SA(Parker)(PG)
    2006-Miami(Wade)(SG)
    2005-SA(Duncan)(PF)
    2004-Detroit(Billups)(PG)
    2003-SA(Duncan)(PF)
    2002-LA(Shaq)(C)

It doesn't look like centers lead their teams to championships anymore. These teams had solid centers but none of them were the best players on the team. In fact, Yao was the best center in the league for a while and never got his team past the 1st round. Is it better to go after a different position if you're going after a franchise player for a championship?

Signing Lin isn't a "marquee" move.
