I'm posting this thread to help the "low self esteem-ers" in here who keep whining that the "East Coast Media" only cares about the East Coast and LA (I guess that's why they ignored Michael Jordan, right?). Seriously, folks- it's about the story, not the geography.

Within the story is an amazing factoid that Peyton Manning playing in Indy earned more endorsement money than his brother Eli playing in NYC, a brother who has won twice as many Super Bowls as he.

Sometimes I think Adande and Wilbon are the only guys at ESPN that have two brain cells left to rub together.

Maybe because Peyton is a hell of a lot better than his brother despite the championships?

If by "better" we also include more personable/funny, then precisely. That's the point the article makes. The paranoiacs in here would believe the media would stuff Eli down our throats because he plays in NYC and has won 2 SBs. After all, Indy is one of the smallest metropolitan areas in the NFL, and not on a coast.

Odd, the best players tend to get paid the most. Even more odd that Eli gets more endorsements than Brady. Amare more than Chris Paul.

Eli is more likeable than Brady.

Eli has 2 superbowls, and one is clutch while the other wilts in the playoffs.

I was surprised when I saw Chris "multiple sources" Broussard's name on the article.

Was like "is this really Broussard?" through the entire read.

Gotta love when someone is willing to give Houston a little credit. Only happens once in a blue moon.

    Good article. Thanks for sharing...

One of the reasons the Kicks have been so horribly bad the past decade has been their willingness to spend money without really taking into consideration how the pieces fit. A team like the Rockets, who haven't really done much besides first round playoff exits and the one series we won in 09, has managed to stay competitive in a conference that, until recently, has been almost impossible to win in.

Eli also had a much stronger team around him than Peyton did. They had one of the best defenses, and struck gold picking Nicks and Cruz on the offensive side. We saw last year what happens to the Colts when you take Peyton out of the equation.

Eli better? Get outta here. No one agrees with that sentiment, not even Eli.
