I had never heard Rudy's take on Rashard before. According to Rudy, the Rockets had worked him out and wanted to work him out one more time before the draft. Rashard and his people did not want to. Rudy couldn't understand if Rashard was so high on playing in his hometown why didn't he want to come back in. Now I wonder too.

Rashard had a great workout. Rudy says something 4 years later as weak as he didn't come back. Three 1st Round Picks?! Why did the Rox sweat him hard last Summer? Rudy has yet to say we made a mistake by not taking Lewis. We have heard a thousand excuses. Rudy is such a great spin doctor. Clinton could have used him!

Nineteen....he has never been asked if it was a mistake, but the question last night was "is there a player that you would have wished you had taken that you did not pass on in retrospect...his response was no because he has been happy with most players he has drafted, then 610 brought up Rashard and he did not say it was a mistake, but he did allude to the fact that Rashard was a guy that has worked out well and they passed on him.......there are plenty of other players in the same situation. also, finally he spoke about wanting him to come back for another workout before the draft and his infamous agent said no...which is bizarre considering he is only a highschooler! quit blaming...do people do say the same thing about Cuttino in Philly...no...because there are better things to talk about...maybe if Rashard had gotten off his #ss and worked out again for the hometown team then he would be a rocket now....how about blaming Rashard and his posse too

Montgo, Thanks for the explanation. Rashard will never be a Rocket. The point I've made all along is that Drafts and Player Development are not Rudy strong suits. That will affect the Rox in the future. The 3 guys drafted instead of Lewis haven't played this year. Very Odd. Rudy repeated the blunder regarding EG. I'm only saying that past blunders will repeat themselves in the future.
For the life of me, I can't download this file!!! I restarted. I reinstalled Quicktime. Still doesn't work!!! If anyone has some help for an incompetent media guy, it would be appreciated.
