Every year, only one team can win the championship. If my team can't do that, it would be nice to see them be nationally relevant, fun to watch, and create discussion. National relevancy means a lot to me if it means more national TV games.
Ok, can we all agree that no LIN based puns will happen in Houston? Instead, let's see what we can do with "JEREMY."
I know it may be official to sources, but celebrating may be a bit premature. There's still time, and you know it only takes one person to completely change the outcome. I won't feel comfortable until the second after the deadline has passed.
I FING LOVE MY ROCKETS EVEN WHEN WERE DOIN BAD ALWAYS REPRESENT ROCKETS FOR LIFE =)...Hopefully We keep all our rookies I'm loving with people saying about them esp Lamb/Jones.
You guys don't even know how huge this is. You will not regret Lin. I really hope Morey finds a way to get Dwight. Lin to Dwight? FU NY!
The New York Knicks confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com's Ian Begley they will opt not to match the offer sheet point guard Jeremy Lin signed with Houston. Lin The Knicks had until 11:59 p.m. ET Tuesday to announce their decision whether they would match Houston's three-year, $25.1 million offer sheet or let the Rockets have Lin, who became an international phenomenon during a dazzling February. A team source told Begley earlier this week the third year of the Rockets' offer -- worth $14.8 million -- caused the Knicks to consider letting Lin go to Houston. If the Knicks matched the offer, they would have been subject to a luxury tax in the third year, potentially bringing their total out-of-pocket cost for the team's salary to about $43 million in 2014-15. The Rockets' offer to Lin would pay him $5 million in the first year, $5.225 million in the second and $14.8 million in the third, according to sources. Lin, a restricted free agent, made $788,000 last season. Information from ESPNNewYork.com's Ian Begley was used in this report.
