Once he puts some muscle on and gets some experience and the game slows down for him he may start looking a little more like Brandon Roy.
The kid scores so effortlessly. After seeing him play in the summer league, I wonder how he didn't go higher than he did.
Shot 60% on 2pt FG in college, which is crazy for a 2. So far, 5-7 in both games inside the arc. Amazing.
I like the linup for rockets: PG: Lin SG: Lamb SF: Parsons PF: Donuts C: Howard man we have 3 guys who are 6'10 and taller in our starting line up. looks like we will be a shot blocking team. what you guys think?
what has been more remarkable is that Jones and Lamb have been getting to the FT line at a remarkable clip...that is a great sign!
I said 20-25. I believe he can be a borderline all star type. A Rudy Gay type of impact for his team. I am not saying he plays like Rudy Gay. I am just saying that is the tier of player he is likely to fall in line with. I really like his game.
If he works on his weaknesses in the summers and keeps in top form. I could see him putting up big big numbers. If he stays true, he's a 25ppg player, hands down. He has the ability, but not sure about his mind set. He looks very very poised for his age though.
I read that it's the highest percentage in all college basketball for SG's in the last decade. I think he's better than Beal and Waitor.
I think among all our youngsters, Lamb has the highest probability of being Howard trade bait. He and the Toronto pick will provide the core pieces in the trade. Unfortunate, since I think he has a bright future as a Reggie Miller/Ray Allen/Rip Hamilton mold of a deadly shooter.
Lamb's offensive game reminds me of Paul Pierce. Not the quickest, most explosive one on the court.. But knows how to create enough space to get off the shot he wants. Great mid range game, etc..
The Reggie Miller comparisons are dead on for Lamb. I would be ecstatic if he could ever come close to being that caliber of a player though, as Reggie had that great competitive desire that set him apart.
