i love all this hatred that is going on with so many of the scatterbrains on this site. some of the "fans" that post are so fickle and sound like little b****es that cannot be made happy no matter what move is made by morey. lin is the allstar that will be voted in easily due to the asian fans and it is a perfect marketing strategy by the rockets organization to get exposure for this team. he has shown that he is more than capable of running a team under the bright lights of new york and if you can make it in new york you can make it anywhere.

Has the writer of this article ever seen a Rockets game in the McHale era???

Lin will do very well in McHale's system which caters to PG's in a side to side/pick and roll offensive system. Hopefully Asik will be setting those monster picks for him as well this year. Asik is one of the better bigs in the league at setting picks mind you.

Lin will also be able to get Patterson, and D-Mo open jump shots off the picks as well. Last season Lin was running the pick and roll with Chandler, and Jefferies so you knew he was going to be the one shooting the ball. With bigs that can hit that jump shot setting the picks, its going to help get good shots off the P&R pretty well.

Not sure if durvasa or someone has swooped in with the numbers but im willing to bet that the NYK iso stat is heavily skewed by the Carmelo offense which expressly was not what Lun ran when he was hot.

Well the argument for Lin not going to a team with number of isolation plays is definitely out the window because we did not have the players to run those plays. The majority of those players are also gone...

The defense point is also thrown out the window because we will have two defensive anchors down low in Dwight Howard and possibly Omer Asik who will make it easier for Lin to defend point guards.

I guess Lin didn't play with a Top3 defensive big in Tyson Chandler:confused:

With Melo and Amare on the team, there will be no isolation plays left for Lin.

This would've been debatable if NY still had d'Antoni instead of Woodson.

Some have wondered if Lin will work hard. Just look at his history. He got virtually no PT as a rookie, for a reason. He was not that good. He then worked his butt off in the off season to get stronger and improve. Even in his short stay in Houston in pre-season, he was impressive, but with Lowry and Dragic locked in and a short pre-season, he did not have much chance. He was really good last year, primarily because of his strong work ethic to improve. He's smart enough not to take that for granted.

Assume much? You're in for a rude awakening when DH is not in Rockets red come the start of the season.

I agree Lin might not thrive here.

Unless we get a star that commands a double team or one of our rookies breakout early as star level (Montejunas and Lamb looking most likely), almost all the attention will be paid to Lin, leaving him open to the same type of defensive schemes that ended his run of solid to great games and exposed his turn over issues.

Not to mention, Lin while popular will still have Carmelo to deflect hate onto, that isn't the case here, unless Martin or Patterson stays and stinks up the joint.

Why would Lin need anyone to deflect hate onto? What hate is there going to be when a guy is winning games for you? Carmelo got hate because he did stupid ****.

The Knicks offense last year was predicated on spacing the floor. When they did that they won. However Carmelo would get impatient and cheat in, dragging him man along with him thus clogging the lane so that Chandler and Lin couldn't pick and roll and the Knicks wouldn't get spacing for 3s. That's why with Carmelo out Novak was scoring 20 points and with Carmelo in Novak couldn't even find his shot.

During Linsanity, no one commanded a double team on the Knicks. AT ALL. The entire point is how Lin and scrubs, like the 22 win Houston team was beating everyone as a team. I understand that you're not a Knicks fan, can't be expected to have seen those games but what you're posting is just plain wrong and you haven't even tried to be right.

The NY radio media is killing Lin. The NY fans are having to call in and actually DEFEND the man, lol. It's really shocking how much of a part of the culture yelling is, up there in NYC.
