    Delay is not really much of an issue. Season doesn't start for months. Knick will likely wait til Monday to accept.

    Does it have anything to do with CLee or Scola?

    July 17 is deadline to amnesty a player for this season. If the Rockets hadn't sent in paperwork and were waiting on this Lin-decision. That option would be out the window as the 3 day wait goes beyond amnesty deadline.

    doesn't this work 2 ways, if grunwald hasn't received the offer sheet and the 72hour countdown doesn't officially begin until it's in his sweaty hands, then can't morey just call fedex up and indicate "do not deliver, return to sender" and then just wait to see what the knicks do with fields and then adjust lin's offer accordingly?

    or knicks ensuring the rockets do amnesty scola if they haven't submitted the paperwork. deadline to do so is july 17. the knicks signed prigioni and may want to pair the two again for their 2nd unit.
