If a player dunks from the 3pt line, does it count as a 3 or 2?

    Assuming that at the apex of their trajectory they can dunk the ball (unlikely) they'd need to jump roughly twice the distance from 3pt line to the basket to be able to do this.

    If a player ever dunks from the 3pt line, they should get 10 points for that.

    I wonder Wilt did standing dunks from the free throw line.. Would of loved to see him in a slam dunk contest nowadays. Might be possible.

    The NBA official rule book states that if anyone...and I MEAN ANYONE...dunks or does any type of layup behind the three point line, the game ends and Daryl Morey is forced to give up allllllll assets and stop collecting them thereafter....lol.

    Since the rim is part of the two point area, if a player jumps and lands on top of the rim and does a little dance on top of it, is it traveling? :confused:

    When Dwight Howard starts doing his Superman dunks from the 3-point line for the Rockets, they will count as a 3s. (We'll need as many of those as we can get.)
