You guys are arguing with too many "ifs". If this , if that. I talking about here and now. Now, Marshon is a second year player who is still developing his NBA game. That pick may not be used right away. That pick may also be lower than you all expect. These next couple of drafts will be weaker compared to the last two. As far as playing time, Lamb would get more behind Brooks than he would backing up Martin.
Luther Head had a better rookie season. Brooks started hot, but cooled off. He finished 10th in ROTY voting. He was the 25th pick just one year ago.
Had him on my fantasy team so followed him a lot, He didnt cool off, he sat out weeks because of an Achilles injury, and they brought him back slowly. This guy will stay in the league unlike Luther head. lol
Going from shooting nearly 50% to shooting 40% is cooling off. If Gerald Green has had this much trouble staying in the league, Brooks has no shot.
Marshon brooks led the ncaa in scoring a yr ago, do u really think gerald green could do that? To say marshon will struggle to stay in the league is absurd
Yes. Marshon Brooks is a shorter, less talented version of Gerald Green. Adam Morrison was a big time scorer. See how that worked out? NCAA stats, especially at smaller schools don't mean crap.
Okay guys..... Marshon Brooks is nothing like Gerald Green. Nothing. Marshon Brooks is a good player, but I do't think he would be good in our rebuilding plans. But Marshon Brooks has a style similar to Kobe or Harden. Not as good as them, but has a similar playing style. And... he is not a bad defender as someone said. He is average but has potential to be good. And he's got that superstar mentality and killer instinct. Would I take him for a pick?? Yes. Would he fit with our plans??? I don't know because our plan is still unclear as the team seems to be stuck in deciding to rebuild through the draft, make the playoffs, or try and trade all assets for a star.
LOL. MarShon Brooks had a 50.2% True Shooting Percentage. On defense gives up as many points per possession as Kevin Martin. There's a reason why the Clippers are the best 1st rounder they can find. One that is likely to be in the 20s. Dude has plenty of potential, but so do dozens of guys that never make it.
Fair enough. I don't think it is a good idea... we need players at other positions...but he's got plenty potential. He could be very good.
Here are their stats after the all-star break last season: Ok you tell me who is better. Look at those shooting percentages.
Wow Nate! Thats pretty good research. Hope it didn't take you long to get that. Now tell me this. Who has been in the league longer??
