Fuq it, it's a new team, time to go out there and compete to win. Isn't that we all play sports anyway? Fact that it's for the country is just that much sweeter.
Seriously? Did you see raw emotion they all had? Winning an NBA championship is a huge deal for them.
Is this a serious question? It's really not that difficult to imagine... I know some of these players seem pretty immature, but they don't usually hate each other just because things didn't go their way. It's a game. They play, some lose, some win, they move on. I mean have you ever played a sport before?
Because neither James or Durant is good enough to demand players be left off the roster. Only MJ could do that.
I clicked on this thread simply because the title didn't really make sense to me, and after reading it, it still doesn't make sense. Is this Jr. High still? They are professionals and whether we like them individually or not, I seriously doubt any one of them would hold a grudge that would prevent them from getting a gold medal.
Unlike fans, NBA players don't hold grudges against teams or players.(for the most part) LeBron and Durant are actually good friends off the court and they both workout together in the offseason. I've had plenty of friends on rival teams I've played against when I was in H.S
For the Thunder, there IS always next year. And this is the Olympics. If you're good enough to be chosen to represent your country, you do it. Bury the hatchet. Not wanting to play with the people that just beat you is petty - especially for Olympic gold. Lastly, no one worked their whole career for this. It's not a "if we don't win now, we'll never get another chance" type of thing. If you work hard and don't get that promotion because of a fair reason, are you going to work harder? Or are you going to b**** and whine about how unfair it was to lose to someone better than you?
Uhh maybe because the Heat and the Thunders are respectful of each other and they are not rivals. Plus the Thunders and the Heat have some of the best players and most athletic players in the NBA anyway. Without players from the Heat and the Thunders, it would be tough for the USA to win the Gold Medal...
