Why should they? Melo's been playing basketball for what, like 4 years or something? That's always a good sign!

Maybe for Sullinger so the Rockets can have another undersized power forward...?

Probably not much more than they will for Lee, especially with Scola and his contract. Martin might get something decent in return since he is expiring.

Yeah, probably not. Still he's a nice asset. :)

I agree with Garner that the Rockets probaby don't value Fab Melo as highly as the Celtics.

Just jumped over to the Celtics forum- they seem to be very interested in bringing Lee over, but outside of JaJuan Johnson, don't see how it would happen.

Bradley is quick but turnover prone.

I don't see Boston parting with anyone the Rocket fans want Houston to have.

Unless we also trade 3 or 4 of our PFs along with Lee...

Boston doesn't have enough unguaranteed contracts and they drafted 3 PFs.

Lee might want to go there, but it doesn't look that good for the Rockets.

I'd like JaJuan Johnson as part of the return package.

How many guards do the T-wolves want to sign?

A turnover prone 21 year old point guard who isn't really a point guard but more of an excellent hybrid/stellar defensive player type.

ESPN trade machine says the same. In this case I don't see the chances looking at their salariy situation.

His weaknesses of not being a 6'9" PF is just too obvious for Mor-e to like him.

Here's one trade I'd made for Lee:

Lee to CHI for Rip Hamilton and a 1st round pick, plus an under-the-table agreement not to match Asik.

Chicago cannot get Lee without an assist from Houston given that they just gave their MLE money to Hinrich. They still have a need for Lee even with Hinrich since they'll likely be letting go of Brewer, Korver and Watson. Chicago also gets rid of Hamilton's $5M salary, which they probably no longer want given that Hamilton showed plenty of signs of aging and missed a bunch of games last season. Getting a guy you want while dumping a salary that you no longer want should be worth a 1st rounder. By getting rid of Hamilton CHI also frees up some room under the tax threshold to sign a back-up center.

The Rockets give up a player they were going to lose anyway, they get a 1st round pick. Hamilton's contract has 1 more fully guaranteed year left (then $1M buyout the next season).
