So, if we don't end up trading these guys, will this be the first time 4 rookies were on one team? I am sure there are cases where undrafted free agents made this possible (and machado would make it 5), but if we are rebuilding does anyone think it would be cool to see a second team of all rookies (aside fromthefact we would be getting killed )? One way to ensure that high lotto pick. Machado (pg) Lamb (sg) White (sf) T. Jones (pf) D-mo (c) -- at center for pure lineup fill out purposes I love following rookies, so it will be interesting finding favorites out of this bunch. My early guess would be Royce white, if we don't trade him.
The Rockets had 6 rookies last year: Morris, Parsons, Simpson, Fortson, Greg Smith, Dionte Christmas.
I think he was . Parsons was the only one that really played.I really hope to see these guys all getting minutes.
Yeah, I was mainly talking about drafted guys. It is difficult to get 4 drafted rookies at once. Wonder what kind of cap hit that becomes come their restricted fa year.
I would love to see Machado start this year, pending we don't get another point guard. I dont really care for Jones too much.
A starting line up that probably wouldn't have beaten the UK this past year haha. T Jones has downgraded to a worse line up lol
My question: Didn't we trade our 2013 1st round pick away (for T Will?)? Is it not a good time to tank and start too many rookies? Thanks for clarification.
we did trade that pick but it had lotto protection so since we didnt make the playoffs we kept the pick - had we made the playoffs it would have gone to NJ (and is now owned by ATL) if we dont make the playoffs next season (again looks likely) it stays ours and I believe after that it becomes two 2nd round picks
That pick still has protections on it. So, if we tank hard, we'll use our 2013 pick and pay ATL in a later year. We just need to bounce back before we lose the protections.
2012 first round pick (protected top 14 in 2012-16, else 2017 second round pick, cash).. So we should have our firsts for awhile, unless we make playoffs. Course next year might be a good year to send it to new jersey to ensure a 2014 1st rounder.
I see thank you, JuanValdez. But Ive been told that next year draft is not deep, tanking this year and get a #4-8 draft may not help us to bounce back in time
