Over under in the number of minutes that it takes NYC to match on the 14th?

It's getting to the point where the Rockets will be tanking even if they say they don't want to. Gonna be a hard year to watch. Looking foward to Rolls Royce playing some point, lol. It may get to that.

Morey wants you to praise his genius by your standards set of him. He really wanted Lin and almost got him. WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT! Come on man he almost got another one! At least he wants him!

Well, Donny, Morey can take those nuts on the dresser, grab them with his teeth, and... oh hell, nevermind.

Morey has obviously changed strategy. He now just wants to watch the world burn.

If anything, its gonna piss off the other team, making them have to pay some outrageous back-loaded contract from gimmick offers

But its dog and pony all the way. Aaron Brooks, too. Really? Lets talk to Von Wafer's agent on his availability.

:grin: thats pretty funny, although if he really wanted to see the Knicks burn he could've offered Lin the max, backloaded.

I am not so sure. If he does not pan out in a big way what team would tie up 15% of their salary cap in a mediocre PG?

Lets face it. Its the wanting that counts. Not the getting. Morey wants this guy, so its irrelevant if we actually land him. Just think of the genius behind the list of wants.

He did. You cannot offer any more to a restricted free agent. Same thing he did to Chicago. Also deporting Lowry to Canada. Him and Les have decided to destroy the NBA from the inside.

It's like 6.5M per year on average. And Goran's numbers as a Rockets starter compared to Lin's time as a starter, are practically the same

Nothing is 100%. Worst case scenario: you did Lin and his agent a favor and are left with plenty of cap room going forward. Besides, my guess is they are not super eager about any of the other PG options they might "lose out" on while waiting for NY to match.

If the Knicks matching is such a foregone conclusion, why insist on that 4th year team option? Why not make all 4 years guaranteed to maximze their pain? Do the Rockets know something we donot, and believe there is a legitimate chance that the Knicks let Lin go?
