Really? That's totally apples and oranges. Both LeBron and Bosh made it known that they were willing to leave with or without a guarantee of money from Miami. At that point, Cleveland and Toronto were both lucky to get ANYTHING from the Heat. Also, they were both UFA, whereas Dwight still has one full year on his deal that needs to be played out.
If you fail the first time, try, try again Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Dallas is considering this too: Take a step back, clear cap space for the summer of 2013 and chase free agents Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.
we're ages away from having access to the world via computers and access to the nba games through a sattelite dish so "big markets" makes sense.
I hope they do this, will be another wasted year for them. CP3 is in Los Angeles with a team that's building around him and Blake by putting some nice pieces along side them. Why would he just bolt suddenly for Dallas? Dirk will be a year older... Lol... Yes Dallas keep star chasing.
And you guys think the Rockets are in trouble? lol. Dallas you goin down! One and Done ! They won't give Dragic 10 mil either. Maybe Jet is in takeoff mode now.....lol
David Aldridge: As Raptors, Knicks & Mavs-fight 4 Steve Nash, the Lakers have also quietly entered the picture & are making a hard push, per league source.
well Howard cant go there because of Joe Johnson BIG contract. I think we just increased our chances of getting Howard
I guess having supposedly the greatest owner in the NBA isn't all that it's cracked up to be when it comes to FA drawing. Neither is the whole coming home angle. So once again, the traditional factors win out. 1. Money 2. Big city
We were pursuing him? Anyways, can someone put up Hollinger's latest article where he explains how Dwight is impossible for the Nets now? Thanks.
3. Nice weather with no state taxes. 4. Being a contender with cap space. 5. Already having a star or two. The Nets can't offer anything good for Howard. The Lakers seem disinterested since this morning. Both teams want to shed crap contracts in any major trade. It's looking more and more like Howard could be traded to either Houston or Atlanta.
Nets are now top 4 in the East. I like this trio they've assembled in spite of their ridiculous contracts.
The new owner will get a nice return on his investments. I made fun of the dude when he entered the league, but he's making the Nets relevant again. I'm glad he does not own the Rockets. He doesn't seem to care about winning a championship as much as Les Alexander.
