    Right but he can sign a contract during those 3 days. Once he signs, there is no more renewing. Highly unlikely the Bulls do that but they could.

    Hope the Bulls match, we offer Camby a contract now, chase Lin, try to trade Lowry, Martin & Scola for hopefully Gordon. If that fails, bring back Lee.

    I hope the bulls match too. Almost feels like Morey got nervous waiting on things to develop with Howard so he went for a big who can play at least some defense' even if he had to overpay. If they don't match, I hope asik develops quick enough to be at least close to the caliber of the other centers who will make 15+ million. Doubt it tho

    Morey has wanted Asik for a while so this is not a desperation move. Asik is a very good defensive player.

    Is it possible for the bulls to sign lee b4 July 11 and then match asik? I remember Orlando did this to Dallas with gortat and bass.

    This would screw us both ways

    Where they are now Lee is exactly the type of contract the Rockets shouldn't lock themselves into for 5yrs.

    I'd say we are still in play for Howard. Trade for JSmoove or Jefferson, sign Gogi or Lin, Keep Martin, have Lamb back him up & use Livingston to backup PG. Keep Camby to back up Asik, we are still playoff team

    nobody said it was. we have most of these pieces already & the other trades have already been discussed in the forum. Everybody panicing for no reason, its still the offseason & I will be a fan no matter what.

    I agree that he is a pretty good defensive player from what I saw at the end of the Bulls playoff run and I am sure Morey knows he is not gonna get much offensively out of him. I guess after trading dalembert it just felt a little rushed but he will definitely provide a presence we missed last year.

    That's why you trade Courtney Lee for Asik instead of the risk he is taking now that could lead to embarrassing failure.

    The Bulls rejected that deal, not the Rockets. Of course the Rockets would trade Lee for Asik.
