Ok. After watching videos, interviews and reviews of our 3 picks, I am sold. Morey better not package them in a deal. Build with these 3, DMo, Morris, Ppat, Dragic, Parsons and Lee.
it's called delusion. from top to bottom, whole rox organization as well as fans are in this mode. i am not saying they can't be good but pretty much sure they won't turn into a cornerstone that rox has been looking for and wants to build around.
You got to take chances on high upside players. You got to talk up the assets. It's all part of the front office game. No one knows what will become of these players, but you just hope that we are due for another Kyle Lowry-esque home run soon. One thing is for sure: tanking lowers the value of the assets you're trying to trade away, and doesn't even guarantee you a franchise player. Call it being stuck in perpetual mediocrity if you will, but I feel we are due for a big break soon. They are doing a pretty good job balancing the rebuilding with remaining competitive. That wouldn't even be possible if we didn't have such a competent front office.
who's fault of that? why have we been so competitive? cause they refused to play young players. cause they kept signing or trading a few "good" old pieces (in other words baby steps) to maintain rox at the level that we are the best among non playoff teams.
outside first 5 picks, the upside is limited. once a 10 or 20 years, you may find a superstar if you are extremely lucky.
Well you can't really deal in absolutes like that. As you already know, the draft this year was incredibly deep. You could argue that a pick in the late teens this year would have gone in the top 10 in other years. Morey said (take this with a grain of salt of course) that they thought Lamb and White were very close to top 5 worthy talent in their eyes and have the highest upside of ANYONE on the roster. It's worth the gamble.
No, they got Kevin Durant because Portland goofed up and chose Oden. If they had drafted Oden with the number 1 pick and he started breaking down due to injury, OKC would still be in the lottery to this day and their GM would have been fired. You guys always either cherry pick the one lucky team out of 15 different tankers, or you gloss over the details which don't fit your "tanking=superstars" mindset. Our draft should have been: 12) Henson 16) Lamb 18) White I think WHite would've still been available at 18, no need to draft him at 16.
everybody is sleepin on jones. im from lexington ky and when jones was going he was the fire of our championship team.the only problem is he dissapeared sometimes.like against indiana the first time.if he went in the draft last year he could have possibly been a top five pick.at leaste a top ten pick.
Henson's another power forward but with longer arms. Sorry, boss. If you think a string bean like him can play center, well, I'm glad you aren't our GM.
lamb they liked because he is high upside and can score + create his own shot. white is nice because he is unique, and morey believes in the pokemon model of pfs, "gotta collect them all" jones was bpa at the 18th pick
Anyone else find the new cap styles annoying? I get the look is fashionable, but these just looked too big. I'm used to the traditional fit being worn at the draft. Is this the direction it's going in now? Last 3 yrs:
These are snap back dude, there america's teens new fashion craze and have been for a couple years. They aint goin no where
They have left before.... It's the raised bill that are the most annoying to me. They look different than last year.
